  • Would a 16 year old be embarrassed by a Happy Birthday sign outside his school?

My son is turning 16 soon. Sometimes people will rent a Happy Birthday sign (I was thinking of one with Stewie Griffin on it) that they will put right opposite the front entrance of the high school. The high school allows this and I think they are funny, but I don't know how a 16 year old boy would react. He is very outgoing, on the football team, and vice president of his grade if that helps you know what kind of person he is. He was also voted "best sense of humor" in the class last year. I want to do something fun for him but not embarrass him. What do you think?

  • When should I get back into the stock market, and with what?

I pulled a lot of money out of my 401k rollover prior to the summer and put it into cash, which was a good thing since the market plummeted. However, I'm wondering if today's news is the beginning of a bull market or just a blip, and if I should continue to keep that money in cash for awhile. Any stock/fund/ETF recommendations? (I know this is a funny place to ask, but I would love to see if there are any experts out there!)

  • Best way to make a hard bed softer and not make bed too hot?

So I bought a mattress that was too hard (like, rock hard...I have back problems and thought it would help) and have tried different toppers to make it softer. The egg crate foam was still too hard, plus it gets really hot! The memory foam also gets really hot. So far, I have liked the wool topper the best, but it flattens out after a couple of months and is not as soft anymore...and for $250 I couldn't keep buying new ones.

Should I actually get a softer bed, or is there a miracle topper out there that stays soft and isn't hot?

    Thank you for any help!!

  • Has anyone ever gotten rid of very stubborn plantar warts?

One of my kids has terrible plantar warts...on her toes. The are so big that they have become "mosaic" where they all grow together. I feel like we have tried everything, including laser surgery, freezing, mediplast patches, and creams (effudex/aldara). Anything else out there that has been a miracle for any of you? Thanks!

  • What makes you choose whether someone has the "best answer"?

I'm new to ask Yahoo and I'm wondering what makes someone choose another for "best answer". Do you think people are generally honest and choose the answer they really think is best, or do people tend to trade "best answer" credits with friends?

  • What should a larger 13 year old wear to her friend's bat mitzvah?

We are having a really hard time finding the right dress for my daughter to wear to her friend's bat mitzvah. She is a "plus" size (16) and so a lot of the pretty little dresses the other girls wear don't fit her. I bought her a dress, but I'm afraid it's too fancy for her (day event). (Smaller sized people can get away with more...but she would look sort of like it does on the model.) What do you think?
