  • Hard Wires Smoke Detector Keeps Beeping?

I have a smoke detector that's wired through the ceiling. It keeps beeping. I changed the battery, unhooked the actual smoke detector from the plug, but something above the electrical box keeps chirping every 60 seconds. Tried going in the attic to see if maybe there was one up there causing the sound, but there isn't. Is there some other device they put up there to make it chirp?

  • Toilet Bowl won't fill very high?

My toilet bowl only fills with a little water. The mechanisms in the tank all seem to be working properly. I can see the water flowing back into the bowl after it's been , but the level only rises up a couple of inches even though the water keeps running into the bowl. I would think the bowl is draining water down the pipe, but once the toilet stops running the bowl maintains its water level. The problem is it's almost like using a dry toilet, there's so little water there. Is there some gasket or something that will allow the bowl to fill higher, if replaced. Like I said the toilet flushes fine, and the tank refills fine and plenty of water runs into the bowl, it's just that the bowl water only rises to a very shallow level.

  • Toilet doesn't fill with water?

The bowl itself doesn't fill. Water runs into it, the mechanics in the back portion of the toilet appear to work correctly, but the water that goes into the bowl itself just seems to run down the drain. Even if you add water to the bowl to increase the depth it just goes down the drain. How can this be fixed?

  • Do You Know the Name of this Artist, Song or Video?

    (admittedly this is vague)

The artist is a red headed singer with a British accent. In the video she is an airline stewardess, and she has little beads or something attached to her eyelashes. The song and video can't be more than a year or two old. It's a poppy kind of song. Anyone know who she is or the song?

  • Why are the World Cup games starting later?

Is there a specific reason, or just that it's the way they wanted to do it. Wasn't it three games with the first starting at 7 Eastern, and now it seems to be four games with the first at 10.

  • Toilet Repair Question?

I installed a new flush valve and fill valve in my toilet. I've attached the tank back onto the bowl and everything seems fine, but when I flush the toilet it drips water from the bolt that connects the tank to the bowl. I tried using the tank-to-bowl gasket that came with the kit, but that just makes a ton of water leak everywhere, so I went back to the old gasket. It still drips though. I've tried repositioning it, tightening the bolts one at a time. Taking it off and trying to make sure it's level. Is there some trick? If I leave it filled with water overnight might the weight compress the gasket down enough? Is there some deluxe gasket you can recommend? Any help is appreciated.

  • Should there be a separate tab for Twilight questions?

I think there should be a separate tab on Yahoo Answers for Twilight questions. Almost 30% of the questions in the Books and Literature is a bunch of Twlight crap. It's a terrible book, it's poorly written, and the comments by 90% of the Twilight fans are written in broken English, with 3rd grade grammar, and are insipid.

If there's going to be such a bunch of juvenile talk from shallow thinking Twilight fans, that seem to think they need to start Twilight questions every five seconds, can there not just be a separate Twilight tab so these people with the mentality of toddlers don't bother those of us with brain cells?
