what's going wrong with my laptop wireless adapter?

i have dell inspiron 15R 5520

running windows 8.1 x64

the wifi works fine at home, i have my own router. but it doesn't work at my university. it works fine with other laptops just next to.it just can' t connect.

is there something i need to tweak in windows to make it work?

note: sometimes when it doesn't work on windows, it works on ubuntu 13.04 just fine

is it a hardware problem?

i use it to download a lot of stuff from the internet and i downloaded probably over 300-400 GB from the internet with it. does it harm the adapter? should i use the ethernet at home and leave the wireless only when i need it or what?

ok guys, i've just uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials to install bitdefender antivirus free

i tried to reinstall MSE but i couldn't. it seems like i'll have to remove bitdefender if i wanted to install it

so, before i do. which is better? MSE or Bitdefender Free?

shall i keep bitdefender or install MSE?

ok guys, i know it sounds a little bit wierd, its for easter. there's a group on facebook with all my friends from church, i don't have all of them in my friend list, i don't know them all, i want to post a photo on the time line of each of them with each body's name saying happy easter, a friend of mine is still designing the photo. what i'm trying to do is to know how can i post this photo on everybody's timeline, with their name. shall i make an app for that or what? will i be able to post it without them accepting the app and stuff?

i'm looking for some software that i can use to simulate electric circuits and electronics.

all i know is pspice, and mutlisim.but i'm looking for something bigger and works better.i haven't managed to use pspice yet, but multisim worked fine for me. but i don't find components there easily.so i'm looking for something better. any suggestions?

ok guys, i had ubuntu 12.10 desktop 32 bit and i installed it inside windows.using wubi with no problems. now i had many bugs with it so i was adviced to use ubuntu 12.04 64bit ( i got 8GB ram and i7 intel processor)

i tried to install the 12.01 64bit the same way, but i starts to download something instead of extracting from the iso file. i tried that using ultra iso to mount the iso file, tried extracting the iso file and running wubi, tried running wubi from the same folder of the iso file, none worked. it always wants to download . the internet here is pretty slow, it downloads about 50kb/sec so it takes about 3 hours to download that file, i don't want to mess with the hard disk and create a partiton for the ubuntu. i liked it more when the hard disk of ubuntu was just a file in the C drive.

so,

is there any other way to install this (ubuntu 12.04 64bit ) inside windows 7 x64 pro. just from the iso file without downloading more?

i have a C7 and i installed font zoomer in it. it works fine but one problem with it.if the font is english only, other langages in the phone appear wierd.so it looks like the default font Ariel supports both arabic and english characters, while all the other fonts i tried to use didn't include arabic in it. is there a way to mix the two font files? i want to use fonts for my phone that has both arabic and english characters like ariel but a littly bit of my own choice, any way to do that? tried font forge but didn't seem to work fine.

any ideas will be great

ok, i found out later that TrueLif is like an anti reflection coating for the screen, but what about the WLED, is it better than normal LED, or LCD?

i'm not talking about the quality, i want something that won't get my eyes hurt after a long time. i have a nokia C7, and if i keep playing games or just mess with it for about an hour, my eyes start to get hurt. i don't want the laptop to do the same.i'm studying engineering and i'm interested in programming, so it will probably be something that i'll use daily.so i want something that won't hurt my eyes. is WLED ok with that? or i'll have to find something with LCD screen or something else that won't hurt my eyes?

ok guys, I'm an engineering student, communication department, and i guess i'm gonna choose programming as something to major in, and i'm gonna need to buy a laptop soon.so, any suggestions? i don't want something of apple, i don't like it,so, i want a good laptop, with good ram, and a high i7 processor,and quite good ram and HDD. so does anybody recommend anything for me? any good brands that can work for quite long time and battery is ok,anything will be appreciated

i have a question here. a friend of mine is thinking of buying an ipad. but not necessary and ipad.they just want something that can be good for reading ebooks (.pdf) (THE MAIN THING)

an Ipad can do that but it's quite expensive so an alternative will be nice

ok guys. i'm a guy in college and the birthday of a friend of mine ( a girl ) is tomorrow, we are just friends and for fun, she said to almost everybody, tomorrow is my birthday and i want gifts. she said so in a funny way, not that she's serious.

so,we are not more than just friends, we might talk a little about studies and subjects but not much other than that and we don't spend much time together.she's not my girlfriend and not in a relation and i don't want to start one soon. so, should i get her something? if i did, what should i get her? maybe something little? or she'll take that as a personal gift?

the problem is that my google adsense got disabled after sometime,i created a second one and it's disabled too after about 3 weeks. a third one got disapproved. the fourth asking me to resubmit data and change the website, i was told that tipsotricks.com is blacklisted from adsense. so , i was hoping i could find somebody that can let me use his website to register with it, the problem is that i'll be asked to place ads code in the site till the account is approved,so the site owner will need to place my code somewhere in the home page, it'll appear as blank space for a while till the account is approved. so ,can i find somebody that can do me this great favor? that will be really appreciated.If i have something to do to pay back i'll do it.

what on earth is wrong with yahoo answers? i always get notified via email that the answer was reported by the answers community.

too bad, i'm getting quite enough views, but almost no clicks. so far in my adsense. there's 550+ views , and only 2 clicks. the admin told me that i need wanted content to get the clicks.he meant that users who search using google will click.so i need to write about something that people will search about in google.

ok guys, i don't know what's going wrong with my pc, it was working just fine, all that was running was firefox, wmp and utorrent and it was working just fine on windows 7 ultimate

and just without any reason, it started to get slow and not respond, i waited for some time and nothing happened, i restarted the computer and now i get read disk error. press ctrl+alt+del to restart.

i don't think there's something wrong with my HDD , i can explore and use it all with knoppix live cd which i'm using now to ask that question

i don't know what caused that or how to solve it, i found some common answers to that on google. but nothing seemed to work

any suggestions?
