  • Evolution and Noah's Ark?

If evolution is fake and creationism is real then how did one family stepping off of an ark, 6,000 years ago give rise to the genetically diverse cultures of Asians, Africans, Europeans, Indians, American Indians, Australian Aborigines, etc?

  • Nearly 50% rise in PTSD cases. Your view?

Personally I don't think the numbers are telling the whole story or even part of it.

"The figures, encompassing all four branches of the U.S. armed services, showed that the Army alone had 10,049 new PTSD cases last year."

I really wonder what constitutes PTSD by the health care providers applying the diagnosis. For example, during the first 4rth of July after my return from Iraq the fireworks noise and flashes in the distance reminded me of firefights and major offensive operations I took part in and it made me feel uneasy and on edge. The following year......nothing. Would I have been diagnosed with PTSD at the time?

"The totals include 28,365 cases for the Army, 5,641 for the Marines, 2,884 for the Navy and 2,476 for the Air Force."

2,884 for the Navy? Really? Yes I know they are there too but how many combat operations have they participated in?

What do you think? What are your views?

  • Who thinks we need a more diverse religious category?

I feel that this Religion and Spirituality category should be subdivided into different categories for the different faiths.

Although I am an atheist, I feel the Christian deserves a forum where they can honestly ask one another about their faith or for scriptures without someone offering criticism to their belief as a whole. The same goes for the pagan who gets told they will go to hell when they ask a question intended for another pagan. Since so many questions seem to be Christians challenging Atheists and Atheists challenging Christians there should be a "Religious Philosophy" or "Debate" category. I feel Atheists should stay out of Christian only questions and Christians should stay out of pagan and atheist only questions unless specifically challenged. Lets live and let live.

  • A dream about a demon with a bizzare twist?

I had a dream I was sleeping on a couch bed in my grandmothers basement with my wife. It was very late at night and it was nearly pitch black (which seems like an odd dream to have in itself). I am feeling stressed and nervous and feel that something is coming after me. I know it is a demon looking for me and in my dreaming mind I call it "the Mot". We both begin to drift off. I suddenly feel a strong presence and my wife tries to get my attention. I reach for my fan to turn it off and hear the demon breathing behind us. I then wake up from the sheer terror of the dream.

So today I google search "demon" and "Mot" and find it was the name of an ancient demon of death and the underworld. The results of the search showed very few references to the name "Mot" in movies and books. I am certain I have never heard the name before. I rarely have nightmares and am not religious. Coincidence? Theories? I wish I could explain more made but the limitations have made me edit a lot already.
