My husband and I were pre-approved for a very good mortgage amount with excellent payments per month. Our credit is spectacular, better than we had expected, and we were excited to begin the process of looking for homes. A month after the pre-approval, my husband has been informed that he will lose his job in a couple weeks. What do we do now?? I assume that we shouldn't continue looking at houses since a major source of income will soon be out of the equation.

I would just like a little guidance as to how we should proceed here. I'm sure we are not the only couple to experience this very same situation, unless we are just super lucky! /sarcasm

I have well water, a water softener and the cold water tap is turned on at the hookup. It gets to the "cold" rinse part of a warm/cold cycle, and it just stops. I have to move it to spin to get the water out of the clothes. Cold/cold cycle doesnt work at all. Could there be salt in the line? Any help is appreciated.
