I'm lactose intolerant and don't eat much dairy, so my doctor thinks I might be vitamin D deficient. I know that vitamin D aids in the absorption of calcium, and I've heard that calcium and D taken together can facilitate weight loss (and that a vitamin D deficiency can cause weight gain). I have extra weight that appeared suddenly and I can't get rid of it (it's not a medical problem; I've had my thyroid checked).

Does anyone have experience with losing weight after taking calcium and/or vitamin D?

I don't care for the shoes on the model. I would want something more casual. In the past I've worn it with shoes that look something like this, but I don't think it's quite right:

I'm about 5'3", average build and I have kind of short legs, so bear that in mind.

From a writer's standpoint and from a reader's standpoint?

Why?

I'm curious. My 13 year old niece and all her friends are culprits, and it's proliferated on Yahoo as well - why the ridiculous downward angle shots with the bangs in their eyes and kissyfishslutpout lips? I think it looks ridiculous.

But is it better or worse than 5 years ago, when the stupid bathroom mirror shot was all the rage?

I honestly want to know. Do you do this because you want people to be curious about your work? Do you really not have any ideas for a name? I just don't understand how, if you're invested in a character, you can't come up with the name on your own. Don't you want the story to be a product of your own imagination?

The name of the character is a relatively unimportant aspect of the story writing process, in my opinion. Once you write, you start to know your character and then you can come up with a name based upon your knowing the character - how can someone else just throw some ridiculous made up name and have it work for you?

As you can tell, this frustrates me.

I've been on Doxycycline since Thursday last week for a staph infection in my nose (I've also got a saline/mupirocin compound spray).

The Doxycycline is making me pretty nauseated for about 45 minutes after I take it. My ENT said to take it with food so it doesn't bother my stomach, but the pharmacist says that reduces the efficacy and it will bind with certain minerals that are in most foods (calcium, iron, magnesium).

I have a few questions:

1. If I continue to take this without food, as directed on the package, will it harm my stomach? I have 2 more weeks left.

2. If I throw up after taking it, do I have to take another one? I get postnasal drip, which makes me cough and gag, and well, if you're already nauseated and you cough and gag.... happened this morning. Nice.

3. What else in my body will this stuff kill? It's a 100 mg dose.

Yesterday I hit my head coming out of a waterslide. It hurt, but it didn't really hurt that bad. I didn't get nausea and my pupils were dilated normally.

I had a mild headache for the rest of the day. I slept fine last night, but I still have a headache. I have no other symptoms - just a headache.

I've had several concussions before - one when I was 6, one when I was probably 8 or 9, and one when I was 21. I'm now 33.

I just bought this dress, and I want a bright, contrasting color of shoes to wear with it. I may end up with just white or black shoes, but for now, I'm interested to know - what colors do you think would look good with this dress (aside from black, brown, white, gold, or silver)?

When I want to make my makeup a little more dramatic, I line the inside of my lower lid. It always looks great, but within a an hour or so, the eyeliner is pretty much gone (into my eye, methinks).

Anyone know how to make it stay put?

I have a joint bank account with my partner. We are not married. He owns a home and wants to do a short sale. The real estate agents needs our last two months of bank statements. My partner has recently become unemployed; however, I have a job. My income and expenses show up on the bank statements.

Does anyone know whether this will pose a problem when trying to prove hardship to obtain a short sale? Or will the mortgage companies not consider my income, since we're not spouses and I can prove separate expenses?
