My interest here is to get answers to questions that most people would look at you strangely for asking radom strangers. As a wiccan priestess and a founder of a working coven, I try to teach the facts of my religion and disspell the myths. To those that ask, I am willing to teach what ever of the finer points my experience and training has granted me.
When visiting a tarot reader, what style of clothing inspires trust?
I'm starting a business as a professional tarot reader but don't know what portion of my wardrobe to wear for readings. Should I be in business casual, jeans and t-shirts or peasant blouse and skirts?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it better to follow the faith you are raised with or to seek something else?
Honest answers. Don't say you should stick to what your parents taught you if it doesn't fulfill you. Also be honest if you are still searching but wish to answer your opinion.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan atheists be as fundamentalist as their religious counterparts?
Have you met atheists who fight as hard to insist that their way is the only right way? Are they as bad as the religious versions who insist you must follow their brand of religion?
24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWho do you first think of when some says "God"?
This is for all faiths. Who is the God you first think of if any when someone uses the generic term?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you assume a person follows a religion because they have certain morals?
Another question that was up had me thinking about this and why some Christian groups are so against Pagans doing charity publicly. Does my making donations to local charities mean I am seen as a "good Christian"? Or does my being pagan invalidate any good works I do simply because of my faith? Opinions are welcome. Bible thumping is not.

4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it better to have the answers or to ask the questions?
Is it better to have the answers to the major questions or simply to be asking them? Such questions as what is the meaning of life, or the purpose of death.
7 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoFor Wiccans, What fictional books would you use to teach from?
If you did not have good non-fiction reference books to use. What lessons would you attempt to teach from them?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCould you defend your faith without using any reference other than your life?
Please explain why or why not.
To be very clear, this means defending the religion, faith or lack thereof without using holy texts like the Christian Bible, the Koran, the Torah, the text written by the Flying Spaggetti Monster, or even non-holy text like science textbooks. Also teaching by religious figures, unless it is yourself is disallowed. You do not actually have to defend the faith, for I do not care what it is as long as it is what you chose to live with and fulfils your needs. I just wish to know if you could defend why you have it(not have it) at need without drawing upon outside sources, beyond personal experience.
Oh and yes I know this type of question will upset some, but I am curious if any would find it possible. The question is asked so that I may have answers.
25 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do so many Christians need to use the Bible to argue religion?
Recently I was nice enough to help a teacher out and gave a lecture on my faith, Wicca. When I opened for questions, a few Christians seemed unable to ask for clarification with out using the major tool of their faith, the Bible or understand that beyond the lessons the stories can teach I have no faith in it. Why is this?
Also before anyone jumps on me for teaching my religion to a class. It was a college elective entitled, People and Religion, and the class covers religions from across the globe, including Christianity, Buddism, Islam, Druidry and Hindu to name a few. Oh, and yes I have read the Bible and think some of the stories are good to learn something from. Only to me it is not the "Word of God" but that of many men.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWho plays Milo's grandfather on Sesame Street?
After watching an episode of Sesame Street where Elmo gets a new band together, I find myself wondering why the grey haired gentleman looks so familiar. Does anyone know the name of the actor and what he has stared in? He is refered to as Milo's grandfather and Gordon's dad.
