I want to help my cousin's sons by buying all their school supplies because him and his wife was downsized and are struggling to pay the bills. All three boys needs school supplies, and backpacks. One son will be entering 2nd grade, the middle son entering 4th grade, and the oldest son is entering 9th grade. Your suggestions and help are greatly appreciative. As a former Alltel Wireless subscriber, I am thinking about switching from Verizon Wireless to Boost Mobile. I have been out of contract with Alltel since 2004. Therefore, I would like your opinion on which is the better phone. I am willing to give up my beloved Blackberry Curve. I understand Boost Mobile phones are considered inferior technology to Verizon Wireless phones. However, I prefer to sacrifice prestige for cost effectiveness. The Unlimited by Boost carrier, which runs off of Sprint PCS, is very much like MetroPCS and Cricket (two carriers that does not operate where I live) inasmuch that there is a flat rate for unlimited calling, texting, and wireless web use. You pay upfront like prepaid, but its an offspring of Boost Mobile (which runs off of Nextel). You have to have extra money on your account before downloading games, apps, ringtones, wallpaper (which is rather limited in scope right now). The service is sketchy. Would you purchase it, or what is your experience with it? PLEASE any suggestions or opinions are very much welcomed.

Ok, here's the scoop: My 9 year old neice will turn 10 next month, and subsequently enter the "tween" stage. She is extremely intelligent with a whole range of interest that a typical little girl partake in. Nevertheless, she is not athletic. She's popular and fashionable and have lots of friends at her elementary school. As her aunt, I want to buy her something very nice and if its a frugal gift (that's fine as well). I am 24 year old graduate student so you can imagine that I cannot "outdo" my siblings in buying my niece anything expensive for her birthday and christmas.
