I'm that lucky geek that married an intelligent and beautiful woman. My body parts will be given to those who need them most, what’s left I hope will be clean enough to make good fertilizer. My spirit will live on in those who remember me and will spread through the universe to become part of everything.
Why do people make all text videos on YouTube?
If I want to read I will go to a forum or text base site. When I am on YouTube or a similar site I want to watch the pretty moving pictures and listen to people talk at me. Is it as annoying for everyone else to find an all text 'video'?
1 AnswerEtiquette8 years agoIF you pro gun rights or pro gun control, how important is it to you?
It seams to me that for the people who are in favor of gun control it is not a top priority. I have heard all the arguments pro and con thousands of times but my sense is that for most anti gun people it's well below other issues. I'm not concerned, by this question, with why you are pro or con but how much of a factor it is for you in choosing a candidate, party or who to support?
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoWhy are the conservatives in favor of the 2nd Amendment when they want to restrict everything else?
I am a firm believer in the right to own guns, I think people should have the right to arm themselves to the same standard as modern soldiers. I also think this should be a liberal Ideal!! Why is the group associated with liberal gun ownership on the conservative side regarding ever other social issue? They would restrict what a woman can do with her body and unborn child, they try to incorporate their religious view into my schools and government, they want to restrict who other people can marry and what they smoke.
The biggest gun control law I can think of was named for a Republican.
In my state, most Dems I also own guns.

I am curious about is being turned on by the idea of getting paid to do something you would not otherwise do? I'm not thinking of simple greed or desperate need which we all experience from time to time.
Maybe not the exact right category but I'm hoping for more responses than my last similar post.

35% on sides and back, but there is an exception if you have side mirrors (who doesn't?).
does this mean that windows behind the driver can be any darkness, even opaque?
2 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation9 years agoWhat movie ends with a warehouse full of Generic Bar-coded Products?
I’ve never seen the whole thing, it is a post apocalyptic world where the ruling class keeps everyone else under control by broadcasting images of a nice world. At some point the protagonist recognizes that “reality” is rotting, falling apart or diseased. Later he finds another “reality” where everything is in a blank brown package with a barcode and the rulers project the images they want us to see.
This may be an episode of Twilit Zone or Outerlimits, or
It could just be my reality.
1 AnswerMovies10 years agoWho does more good or evil, the faithful or the atheist?
Given that neither side can be proven, maybe we should ask what is at risk for the believer vs. the non believer if they are wrong.
"Your eternal sole, what could be more important" the faithful will quickly answer.
Isn't that a bit selfish to take care of you own sole for eternity at the expense of the entire population for all generations to follow.
By not promoting Science, by overpopulating with prohibitions on berth control. By enforcing morality and in some places government laws based on superstition.
The atheist may be damming his soul by lack of faith, but if there is an afterlife, do you want to spend it with a deity so narcissistic that the criteria for entrance is that you believe in him?
Or do you prefer a deity who's only criteria is that you like spaghetti?

1 AnswerEngineering1 decade agoHow much air is consumed by an adult under normal stress?
Suppose a man is in a submarine (or in a tank at 1 atmosphere of presser) of a given volume. Through normal respiration he is consuming oxygen and producing CO2.
What formula do we use to determine how long he can breath before the air becomes toxic with CO2 or lack of O2?
Please include links and resources, I keep finding info for divers but that does not work for a submarine as we are not berthing pressurized air and we are keeping our CO2.

Assume we have a new chunk of land, a man made island half way between Bermuda and the Azores, or a tear-formed colony on the Moon or Mars.

Widows and abuse victims deserve all the help and praise society can give them. However, how many single mothers got that way by not closing their legs, or taking their pill? Also, what should society do with the boys who make babes and won't be fathers?
