What makes a woman intimidating? Why do many men claim that they are "too shy" to ask a woman out?

What does it mean when a guy keeps inturrupting a girl's conversations with others?

There is this kid in my grade (I'm a sophomore in h.s.) whom I've never spoken to, and lately I've noticed that he keeps popping up out of nowhere and trying to become involved with my conversations with my friends. I've also noticed that he looks at me a lot and smiles a lot whenever I'm around. And he's very loud when I'm around as well. Could he be interested in me?

It's just that I've seen guys who are personified as being generally "shy" chase after women like there was no tomorrow. If a man is truly interested in a woman, would he approach her, regardless of how shy he was?

Ha ha, this is mostly addressed to guys, but girls can answer, too, if they want.

It's just that guys have so many ways to define girls; girls are either beautiful, cute, pretty, hot, sexy, skanky, or ugly. Can you clarify the differences please?

I know this is going to sound really stupid, but I'd appreciate honest answers! Sorry that I'm basically bragging about myself, but from what I can tell and from what others have told me I'm smart, a nice person, very pretty, and I'm focused with my own life and own interests.
