I live in a small town in Maine with my boyfriend and 4 children, ages 12, 11, 6, and 1. I love sports and am a huge fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots, I'm into diet and fitness, traveling, family, scrapbooking, photography, and spending time with those who are closest to me.

  • Confused about this behavior?

Sometimes I get really angry over little things, and even though I know its probably stupid, I can't stop the anger. I end up dwelling on those feelings and then I want to make the person it's directed towards, just as angry as I am. When I have done that, (mostly by saying ignorant things) I start to feel better. What in the hell can I do to change this behavior?

  • Productive Arguing?

I have a great relationship with a wonderful man, however we have no idea how to accomplish anything through discussion. When I am upset, we talk about it, but the conversation goes rounds, and a solution is never really found., and I'm left feeling even more upset then when we started. How can a couple argue, or discuss, without causing damage to the relationship?

  • Sleep habits changed overnight, what can I do?

My son, who is 2, use to be a beautiful sleeper. We would put him in his crib and he would sleep all night, without a sound. Ever since he learned how to climb out of his crib, sleep has been a nightmare. He won't stay in his bed and he wanders from room to room at all hours. Any suggestions?

  • Male Advice Needed!?

For the most part my guy and I have a really decent relationship. However we really knock heads on this one.... When I ask for something from him, he makes me feel as though if things arent done my way, then they arent good enough. For example... when he tells me he loves me he rarely looks at me, if there is any affection between us its because I initiate it,. I will get up earlier than him just to start the car for him just so it will be warmed up for his ride to work, instead of saying thank you, he tells me i shouldnt do that. These are just a few examples that leave me very confused, yet when I ask he says that he does love me he but because he doesnt show it like I do, he feels as though I dont believe him. There are times that I'm just left wondering how he really feels, because unless I ask, he doesnt go out of his way to make me feel special or loved, atleast not in a way that is obvious to me. So I guess my question is..How can I fix this without him going on the defense?

  • Disestablishing Paternity Part 2?

OK.... He has NOT ever been a part of this child's life, and vice versa. He signed the birth certificate thinking the child was his but the baby was born 7 months into the relationship weighing in at a healthy 9 1/2 lbs. My bf thinking this was odd seeing as how they had only been together 7 months began asking questions and the woman admitted that he wasnt the father. Because he had signed the certificate the state of Maine helf him liable for child support. The mother sent in a letter to a department of human services hearing stating that he was not the father. He was under the impression that after the hearing all was resolved, once realizing it wasnt his attempts to remedy this have fallen on DHS'S deaf ears. Do I think he was stupid for signing the certificate when in doubt? ABSOLUTELY. however he did and now I am trying to help him out of a problem that could happen to anybody. This woman is still collecting child support knowing he is not the father, isnt this fraud?

  • How to disestablish paternity?

7 years ago my boyfriend was misled to believe that a child was his. When dates didnt add up, he asked for a hearing with the state to no longer be held liable for child support. The woman did not appear but sent a letter stating that he was not the father and named another man as such. Currently my guy is still paying child support and seems to hit brick walls when trying to get the situation taken care of. There was never a DNA test to establish paternity. Does anyone have any knowledge of situations like this and what can be done??

  • A True Life Yours, Mine, And Ours?

My boyfriend has two children from previous marriages, I have one child, and we have one together. The other two live in the same town as us but we have difficulty getting the to spend time with us. The oldest spends more time with the second wife than us! As a result I have found it hard to build a close relationship with them, and my efforts have failed. They only seem want to come over when we are doing something fun. Any tips?

  • Where is the affection?

I have been with my guy fo almost 2 years, and at first everything was great. Now it seems as though there isnt anymore passion between us. If i want a hug, I hug him, if I want a kiss, I kiss him. If I want to hold his hand, I hold it. See what I'm saying? He doesnt seem to want to take showers together, and he seems to be comfortable having sex the same way all the time. I love him dearly and he says he loves me just as much. What gives?

  • How do I learn to trust again?

Before my relationship with my boyfriend ,I was married for 10 years, and it ended badly. I was completely blindsided by my ex husband who cheated on me with a 21 y/o (I was 30) left me for her and recently married her. Now I have a hard time letting myself trust my boyfriend completely, its like I am refusing to be set up for another fall. He feels as though he is being punished for what my ex did, and he's right. Any advice on how to let go and learn to trust again? Instead of really enjoying what I have now, I'm waiting for the end.

  • How can I learn to accept the fact that I will never have the "perfect" body?

How can I learn to accept the fact that I will never have the "perfect" body?

In a span of two years I went through a horrible divorce, lost 100 pounds, met a wonderful man, had a baby boy, and lost 35 more pounds. These are all great things except now because of the weight loss I am stuck with areas that are flabby due to excess skin. Financially plastic surgery is out of the question. My self esteem has not always been top notch and now its even worse. I struggle with low confidence almost on a daily basis and it interferes with my personal life as well because my sexual confidence is really lacking. I do toning excercises but have little results, please help!
