  • My 6.5month old still not sleeping through the night!!!?

I'm losing hope that I will ever sleep. We get up 3-4 times a night. If its not a feeding then he is searching for a pacifier. I am a walking zombie! I get less than 5 hrs of sleep going onto 7 months almost. My husband says that he doesn't hear our son but how can that be humanly possible? We started solids and I was really hoping that would do the trick. NOPE! I don't know what to do anymore to aid in his sleep cycles and as well as mine. I don't know how long I can keep doing this without going nutty. Thanks.

  • Can a water softener cause an allergic reaction in an infant?

We just got back from visiting my rents in Chicago. I gave my 4 month old son a bath and the next day he broke out in a rash all over his face and head. He has mild eczema but this is crazy! The only thing that is different is the climate and the water (which is sotened at our house) Does anyone know if this? Can a water sotener/water/soft.salt cause this problem? I'm going out of my mind trying to find a solution to this problem. It's been a week. Everytime he gets a bath it's worse and everytime he touches a blanket washed in our water he gets all red. Thoughts?

I use all FREE (dye+freg) products .... for both him and our clothing as well as aveeno free baby soap and free lotion. I can't figure this out.

  • Generic baby formula?

SO I was buying Enfamil for my 5 month old at first. Then I noticed the Target generic was for half the price so I got a can. He did well on it and didn't seem to mind the change and I loved that it cost half. Even my ped said it was totally fine. So... after a couple of weeks I felt really guilty about not getting the name brand and went back to Enfamil. Now when I think about how much money I could be saving it makes me mad at Enfamil! And myself.... are they pretty much the same? The only thing that worries me about Up & Up is that they add maltodextrin to it. IT's an artificial sweetner. I don't think that a baby formula is a good place for it to be. I keep going back and forth... THOUGHTS? Thanks for reading.

  • My 4 month old only drinks about 19-21oz of formula a day...... Is that enough?

I have a doc apt next week but I just can't wait. Our 4 month old will drink only about 19-21 oz of formula per day. Is that enough? We have 6+ wet diapers and he weighs around 20lbs. I'm worried that he isn't getting enough nutrition. My g/f son smacks down 7oz every 4 hours! He only drinks around 4 oz every 4 hours. I just can't wait to ask my doc so I thought I would post on here also. What is the average amt of formula a baby at 4 months should be drinking?

  • Store brand infant formulas......?

After much research (and my docs opinion as well) I decided that store brand formulas are just as good and cost way less. Now which one? I like the Target Up & Up Prebiotic and Walmart Parents Choice Premium formula. They are made by the same company just distributed by these stores under their "private" label. I think Target has better quality but I love the package of PC. Any thoughts on this? I am sick of paying Enfamil 25 bucks a can per week!!!!!!

  • Name brand baby formula vs. store brand baby formulas?

I was wondering what everyone thought about generic vs. brand baby formula. I was at sams club today and their generic version of Enfamil Gentlese is half the cost and twice the size. I'm thinking about switching because it does get pricey. But is it worth it .... meaning is it the same nutrition? I don't want my little one to not get the nutrients he needs to grow. Thoughts?

  • Is breastmilk still the best solution in my case?

Our 3 1/2 month old has refused the breast. I have been pumping and storing his meals in the fridge and warming them up when he is hungry. I have been told that storing and warming (not via microwave) human milk ... the benefits are greatly lost. I feel like I am doing double work and if the benefits are gone then what's the point. I have 2 kids and pumping is taking up most of my time. If my child can get quality nutrition from formula .... should I give up the pumping? Thoughts?

  • Puming/breast feeding question...?

I am a stay at home mommy. Our son is 11 weeks old and takes about 4oz right now. Whenever I breastfeed him it seems like I have to supplement with 1-2oz of formula these days. I was wondering if I need to buy a pump to vamp up my milk production. I have the single Medela Swing but with a 5 yr old on hand it takes too long to pump. Will a double make it easier? Anyone have this issue? I just want to make enough so that I dont need to use formula. Is it worth dishing out $300 just to get my production up? Thoughts? I'm worried that I will buy the pump in style and I will get the same amount of milk as I do with my single swing. Is it more powerful?

  • I am experiencing nipple pain..... stinging after breastfeeding.?

My little one is 1 week old... still getting used to breastfeeding. The past 24 hours I had nipple stinging that comes and goes after breastfeeding. Not sure what it is and it's freaking me out. Any other moms out there had this? Baby had his 1st doc visit this morning and was checked from thrush and doc didn't see anything. I'm worried that i have an issue... my next ob visit isn't until monday and I'm wondering if this is something I need to be seen right away for.

    Thanks.

  • I got my h1n1 vaccine on FRI .... how long until my immunity is built up?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm 24 weeks pregnant and there are conflicting reports. Some sources say 7 days and some say 14 days. Can anyone direct me to a credible source that can give me an estimate? Or does anyone know how long for you to become immune once the vaccination is injected. Thank you.

I have a 5 yr old and we are expecting our second boy in Feb. I am trying to find a stoller other than the sit'n'stand that will accomodate both children. Anyone know of a good sit and stand type of stoller with possibly a higher weight limit? Any suggestions?
