  • Why not just search?

Yes, you schoolkids and other people of little intelligence. If you're going to cheat your homework, why type a whole question into here when a single word in google or wherever will bring everything you need?

  • My breast-fed daughter won't drink formula milk.?

My daughter is 6 weeks old and hasn't put on much weight recently. My wife and I decided (with advice from doctor etc) to supplement her breast feeding with one or two bottles of formula per day.

The problem is she absolutely hates the stuff. I've fed her from the exact same bottle with expressed milk and she took that a few times with no problem, but if either of us try to give her formula she screams her lungs out until she gets breast milk.

We're making it properly (SMA gold) and even tried adding a pinch of sugar to the water to sweeten it (yes we tasted breast milk and it's much sweeter).

I tasted the formula milk too and it's awful, how can i get her to take the formula milk?

  • What kind of white?

    When filling out an 'equal opportunities' form (usually when applying for jobs etc) in the UK, there are several classes of race, such as;

    Black (African)

    Black (Caribbean)

    Black (Other)

    Asian (Middle East)

    Asian (Indian)

    Asian (Pakistani)

Asian (Eastern - Chinese / Japanese)

    Native American

    Latino

    WHITE.

Why is there only one type of white listed? A white applicant could be west-european, east-european, nordic, american, australian, etc. etc. All resulting in just as much cultural and geographical differences as the different 'classifications' of black or asian.

    Is this not reverse racism?

Could someone who works as HR or personnel please explain why this is?

  • How do I earn big £££££?

In a year or so I'll complete my AAT (accountancy). I'm pretty good at what I do (Finance assistant in big company doing pretty basic accountancy work).

The problem is that I've worked for the same company since 18 (now 26) doing mainly admin and got comfortable with regular pay - family to support!!

How do I turn my hard work into big£££.

Without boasting, I know I'm cleverer than many people I went to school with, but see them earning loads (driving Porsches etc) what am I doing wrong?

  • Which creature would you make extinct?

Steady now - I know all about bio-diversty etc. etc.

    Some critters are just plain useless though aren't they. A few suggestions of my own are;

    Headlice

    Pubic Lice

Those teeny weeny red mites you sometimes see on stones/bricks in the garden

  • Is religion necessary? I live a good and honest life - as an atheist!?

I was brought up to be loosely church of england, but since teenage have become opposed to organised religion of any form.

I believe that the various 'churches' have proven useful in the past by imposing some fundamental 'rules' to follow in life with the threat of being punished / rewarded accordingly in the 'afterlife' But in these modern times, when people are educated enough to know the difference between right and wrong, and we are all punishable by law (or at least supposed to be), is it not the case that your 'god' will contact you directly if 'he' wishes and that the leader of your church wishes only to exert their influence and increase their 'hold' over the congregation.

So many people have gone(and still are going) to war because of religion. Were these wars not religious leaders struggles for power propelled by their followers 'faith'.

In a nutshell, 'god' is everywhere, why should you go to a 'church' and talk/pray to 'him' via them rather than directly yourself?

  • Eye colour?

My wife is pregnant and we both want the baby to have eyes like mine (bright piercing blue). Is there a chemical we can feed her or the baby to make this happen?

  • What do I buy my grandfather for his birthday?

The trouble is, I've been buying him the same old 'grandad gifts' for years. He has much more money than me (I'm limited to about £20). He has anything and everything he could ever want. I should mention it's his 80th, so I can't take him for any thrilling experiences or anything and he doesn't really have any hobbies. I even asked my parents and Grandma, and they're pretty much as stumped as I am. My wife is pregnant with his first great-grandchild, but I already gave them scan-photo's and can't think of anything to do with that which wouldn't seem conceited. Please help me find an original idea, I've paid this a lot of though already and eliminated all obvious options. I only have until this weekend to get something. Thanks in advance!

  • What is the best way to teach my Grandma to use a PC?

She is in her 70s and has absolutely no experience, but she is (pretty much) all there and is keen on using email to keep in touch with relatives on other continents. If I can get her into it I think it would be really good for her and my grandad. It may even give her something else to tell me about when I visit other than what she bought at the shops in minute detail!
