1 AnswerOther - Advertising & Marketing1 decade agomoving to New Windsor, NY... Good idea?
My husband and I are moving to New Windsor, NY from Boston. Our apartment is $840 a month, and the town doesn't seem too bad... does anyone live in or around there? is that a good price for that area for a one bed and bath apartment?
Also, are the people who live there racist? maybe everyone was just in a bad mood, but it seemed like everyone didn't have a problem talking to me but when it came to talking to my hubby, they gave him quite an attitude (he's asian.. I am white). any input would be great

15 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agowhat brand of neck tie do you find to be a good, longlasting tie?
My husband always buys Donald Trump ties. he loves them because they are a heavy, solid tie. A few weeks ago, however, he discovered that the back of his tie on the skinny end, the stitching had come undone and they had not hemmed the inside of the tie, so the material is not at all seamed. I went around looking for another brand of tie that doesn't have this problem, but it seems like they all were sewn up in back by hand by a bunch of middle-schoolers.... is there a tie out there that can withold evey day wear and tear better than a pair of nylons? (and no, we don't wash them.. when we do wash them they are drycleaned)

I am moving to NY, and I don't want to pay any out of state tuition fees, so I want to wait a year and then be able to go to college. I heard however that if I was to take night classes, I would not have to pay out of state. is this true?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoshould I invest my EE savings bonds in to something else?
My parents just passed me my Savings bonds they had purchased for me when I was a kid. They range back from 1988 to 1992. I don't want to spend them at all, but I was wondering if there was something better I could invest them in? Right now my interest rate is 4%.
Also, on my bond dated in 92, it says under "series EE" that "interest ceases 30 years from issue date". does that mean after 30 years they stop paying interest?

3 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoMy Husband's Job Opportunity May Lead Us To Relocate... Should We Move For A Job?
My husband has a job opportunity. His manager is moving up to be a regional manager, which means that he gets to move up to the manager position..... but he has a couple of options...
If he stays in the boston market, he will be under a new regional. he has a 90% chance of being a manager where he is now. I won't have to transfer my job (which I just started about 4 months ago, so i don't know if they would be willing to transfer)
or he could go to NY or CT and be a manager there. he would be put in the best market there and has an opportunity to be a District, and have more opportunities to move up. They're pretty much starting the market all over again down there, so there are more opportunities for him to move up to a stable career, such as recruiter or trainer. However, I would have to transfer, and we would have to find an apartment down there...
Should we stay here, or should we move down?

4 AnswersTelevision1 decade agoLooking for a puppy (smaller breed) Around Massachusetts under $500. Anyone Know where I can adopt one?
My husband and I are looking for a puppy or dog for under $500, if possible. We both really want a Teacup dog (usually weighing under 6 lbs) but we know those breeds are usually too expensive, so we won't be able to afford one. He wants one that is "cute, small, fluffy, and fat" (Never mind the fat part lol) I was looking in to something along the lines of maybe a Maltese, Morkie (maltese/yorkie mix) or Malti-poo (maltese/poodle mix). If you have any idea where I could find one around Lowell/Chelmsford MA that would be great.
Thanks a bunch in advance!
