Twilight - How did Alice meet the Cullens?
Twilight Saga - How did Alice and Jasper meet the Cullens?
I know that Alice had a vision that led them to find the Cullen family while they were still in Washington.
I remember reading something along the lines of Alice claiming Edward's room "because it had the best view", and him finding all his things neatly packed in the garage before he even got home.
What I can't remember is whether that's canon or something I read in a fanfic! Help!

2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoMy cats aren't adjusting to the newest cat...?
We have two cats, both about 2 years old. We were just given another cat, who we adore. He's very sweet. He's maybe 6 months younger than the other cats, and is very kittenish - loves to play.
The third cat has been with us about a month or so. For some reason, my other two keep hissing at him. We think maybe cat #3 tried to play with them too early on, and it was accidentally seen by the other cats as fighting instead of playing - but now, the other two cats do nothing but hiss. It's getting pretty close to fisticuffs at this point.
What can we do to make these guys get along?
7 AnswersCats1 decade agoCan your dreams sap your energy?
I've been having incredibly vivid dreams for the last God knows how long. The problem is that they're negatively emotionally charged to the point that I wake up every morning feeling exhausted, like I've been through hell all night. I figured that this might be some Freudian repressed thing, but the strange bit is that I'm in a better place in my life than I've ever been.
Is there something that my doctor can help me with, or is this more of a "you need counseling" thing?
Thanks!
4 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoWhat can I do about my neighbors, who are complete jerks?
I own a townhome. The way it's set up, there are rows of townhouses whose backs face each other, with a small backyard in common.
Unfortunately, the acoustics of the situation are that, whenever someone decides to have a party on their patio, I hear every dang word up in my bedroom.
I have two neighbors whose patios face mine who throw parties. These outdoor parties go until AWFUL hours; I'm talking about 4 AM on weekends, 2 AM on weekdays. I can hear them through earplugs (I HATE wearing those!), and I'm either woken repeatedly by the noise or just can't sleep at all.
I got no sleep at all last night. I went outside at 3 AM and asked them to keep it down. They ignored me, so I finally had to call the nonemergency police line and ask them to send out an officer. I hate doing that, too. I don't want to waste an officer's time.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get these jerks to stop? On top of it all, I'm still recovering from a life-threatening illness. I NEED my sleep.
10 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoI love him, but I think he might have f***ed up the pot roast.?
My boyfriend, who I do adore, was supposed to stick the chuck roast for tonight's pot roast in the slow cooker this morning. He's actually a very good cook; great chili, awesome cheesecake. He'd never done this before, so I gave him a basic recipe that included putting 1 cup of water in the slow cooker with the meat.
He missed this somehow... And since he didn't know how much water to put in, he just told me he put in just enough to cover the whole roast.
We're having company over for dinner. Is that much water going to ruin the meat? I doubt that, but what other problems could I run into there, and what are the best fixes? If something is wrong, I've got about 45 minutes after I get home with which to fix it.
(And BTW, I'm laughing at all this - I'm not mad at him at all. It's funny, honestly.)
9 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoMy boyfriend is being a jerk - what should I do?
My boyfriend has been blowing me off lately. He's overscheduled himself AGAIN, so whenever I call him, he's busy. It's always "Uh, yeah, can I talk to you later?" He did it again to me this afternoon while I was trying to tell him about an interview I went on, and I got really upset, so I wrote him an email when I got back to my desk and (nicely) told him so.
He's ignored it. Totally ignored it. Hasn't called, hasn't responded. I'm very, very hurt. If it weren't for the fact that we're buying a house together and close on it in less than a week, I'd think about leaving him, but I feel like I can't with the house.
What do I do?
11 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoShould I speak to my boss about this?
I'm temp-to-hire at my company. I'm in a department where I'm the odd one out - I'm the only one in this department who doesn't actually DO what the department does. The rest of them are very close-knit. There's a newer temp here who does what they do, and she's become close with the rest of my coworkers, too.
The entire department does things together - and they never invite me. Ever. They just left at 4:30 today to go attend a neighborhood (not business) party. I was not invited. I'm working for another hour while they're out. They even invited the new girl!
This really hurts, honestly. I've been here for three months and get left out all the time. My temp agency says that my boss loves me and wants to hire me, so it's not that he's about to let me go.
A friend says that I should talk to my boss about this; I'm afraid that if I do, I'll look whiny. Should I talk to him about this, or should I shut up and try to stop being hurt over it?
6 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoDo I have the right to be upset with him over this?
I'm a 27-year-old divorced mom with two kids. I've been seeing a (usually) wonderful man for the last year and a half. He's said he's going to propose in a few months, so yes, we're serious.
He's been very busy lately because he's not good at saying no to people, and is trying to balance too many things right now. Whenever he does this, it always seems that his friends get a ton of his time and I end up being penciled in.
Tomorrow's Mother's Day. I don't expect a thing from him, of course. His mom's out of state, so we won't be spending the day with her. I would like him to spend time with me, though. Just time... that's all I want.
He's got a game that he runs every other week with his friends, and he's been very insistent that he's running it tomorrow. These games easily run 6 hours. I'm mad at him because he's choosing to spend time with his friends. He says he'll start the game as late as he can so he can see me a bit, but I'm still really hurt. Do I have the right to be?
