I have a B.S. in art with emphases in education and visual art; I also earned a Liberal Studies degree with an emphasis in religion. I'm a belly dancer, write children's plays, make art, eat cheescake, and I'm a fan of ancient Egypt!

  • Pagans & Wiccans: Do You Have a Spell for Getting a Job, Seeking Employment, or Good Luck?

I've already done everything I can for getting a particular job. They have my application materials, I already interviewed, and I sent my thank you letter. I should find out early next week whether or not I have this job, and I'm really stressed out about it because I'm going to have to start paying back my student loans soon. Since I've done everything I can practically, is there a spell I can do to help my interviewers remember what a great candidate I am? (I am qualified and I know I can do the job well. I just need them to remember me since I know I was the first person they interviewed!) If anything, is there something that can relieve my anxieties while waiting?

  • Why is it that Biblical literalists need so much proof for evolution?

Why is it that Biblical literalists need absolutely everything about evolution to be a proven fact before they can accept it, yet it doesn’t go the same way with their Bible? One bit of evidence from one book of their Bible proves the entire thing true for them! Why don’t they need every sentence written in their Bible to be proven true like every step in evolution? They don't need theory of gravity spelled out for them either, and they're not floating off the earth.

“Faith” is not an appropriate answer to this question because it is not an appropriate answer in support of evolution.

I am so sick of Biblical literalists asking for evolution to be proved to them, when they first of all won’t take the time to learn for themselves. Also, if they weren’t so eager to keep evolution out of the science classroom, then they would know these answers. Why do they ask these questions, but they don’t want to learn the answers?
