  • okay, once and for all, why did yoda run away in ep. 3 when he'd knocked sidious off the platform...?

this, after absorbing all the force energy sidious had thrown at him. just before they both fell, yoda had grimaced and appeared to get "angry" and deal out a shot of his own. then, yoda fell(why could he not break his fall using the force?). query why yoda felt he'd failed and then had to go into exile...is it bec he lost his temper which, as the head jedi would be conduct unbecoming? serious, knowledgeable answers only, please....

  • was Jesus a blood descendant of Adam?

i see that Joseph was a direct descendant of Adam, Noah, Abraham, etc. but, due to immaculate conception, does that mean that the family line was broken and Jesus was not actually included in that bloodline? pls advise

  • how do you all rank the best heavyweights of the 80's/90's?

..and how do they compare to the all-time greats? personally, my top in-their-primes ten looks like: tyson, holyfield, holmes, lewis, bowe, m. spinks, page, cooney, dokes, moorer(, etc.) i know most of you like to dump on iron mike but, really, who did the others fight that made them stack up any better against the all-time greats? regardless of actual encounters between any of the above(with the only exceptions being bowe-holyfield 1,2,3 which took place at just the right times in their respective careers, and lived up to the hype) what should have been another golden age of boxing, to me, kinda turned out somewhat underwhelming.....let the comments fly!~

  • issues w/certain flicks: "star wars - revenge of the sith"?

1 - why did yoda run away from the battle w/the emperor? if memory serves, he used that jedi shock wave to knock the emperor backwards and the force knocked yoda back as well and he fell. did yoda get angry, realizing anger was the only way to defeat a foe as powerful as the emperor, and that's why he said "i have failed," because he couldnt defeat him otherwise?

2 - if yoda could move a starship(as in "the empire strikes back") and all manner of heavy things, why couldn't he stop himself from falling, using the force, during his battle w/the emperor?

3 - i'm sorry but this prequel trilogy really emasculated darth vader...w/all due respect to entertainment weekly's poll of the baddest villains ever, khan from star trek 2 reigns way supreme - no redeeming value whatsoever, just pure evil, hellbent on revenge/death, and loving it! they should've kept vader unsympathetic and forgotten all that crap about his wife being in danger being the reason he turned to the darkside - blah!!!

  • issues w/certain flicks: superman returns?

1 - how did superman have strength to throw new krypton into space when he still had a chunk of kypronite in him(it was taken out when he was in the hospital) and the continent was laced w/kryptonite?

2 - how did superman's kid have super strength? when he was supposedly conceived, in superman 2, supes had given up all his powers in that red krypton sun chamber thing!

3 - in the hospital, how did they remove supes' costume so fast (looks like they ripped it off), when it is made of kryptonian fabric and supposedly impenetrable?

4 - if supes was gone only 5 years, lois sure didn't wait too long to find a new man(richard white) and convince him that supes' baby was really his, or did she carry that baby more than 9 months? or did everyone know that baby wasn't richard white's?

5 - in superman the movie, it took young kal-el 3 yrs to reach earth, so, i guess he built a larger, faster space ship(w/what material?) since he made it to kryptonian space and back in only 5 yrs?

  • okay, another casting question! this time, mr. bond, james bond....?

w/all due respect to mr. daniel craig, whom i will try very hard to view objectively this fall, what about the following top five for consideration to play agent 007:

#1 - adrian paul, tv's highlander. he could handle the action(like connery), he's a ruggedly good looking guy(like connery), and he looks pretty menacing when he wants to.

#2 - christian bale - for the same reasons as above. in between bat-films, think he would put a verrrry interesting stamp on the character.

#3 - colin farrell - for the same reasons. though he has expressed no interest and is quite too short in stature, i would like to see him in character and take a whack w/one film, at least.

#4 - clive owen - my least fave on the list but, after seeing him in the bourne identity, i had 2nd thoughts that maybe he could pull it off.

#5 - sean connery...still! the one and only bond! perhaps he could pull off the ultimate and film.....the death of james bond and put all future speculaton to rest, what say you?
