I just moved to Australia in Feb. In the same month I was able to do all necessary paperwork such as medicare, bank account, blue card, library, driver's lic, got a job, etc. In the same month I was in a bus accident where I suffered whiplash on entire back since then I wasnt able to resume work. I am attending physio treatment 1-2 times a week, lost my social life and enjoyment in life such as going to gym, walking, swimming; I can stand or sit for too long and worst of all I cannot even carry my 4 yr old grand daughter as I usually do when she comes over to see me.

It seems like my life went many steps backwards from my intentions to make a new life here in Australia. I feel like going back to USA and resumed the life I left there. The insurance are very nice on the phone but the bottom line is....will they pay for what I have lost. Im so worried and sad and I cant seem to get out of it.

My husband and I gave (as gift) to my son in Australia to helped him buy a house where he live and start his career as a teacher. We found our 21 year old son in his room wasted in alcohol and possibly drug. I have no knowledge in substance abuse. Is there anyone there that can give me an advice. Please help, I dont know what to do.

I am seeing signs that my son is using drugs in the last 6 months or so. He denied it and I have no proof, we talked about drug test and he agreed with it. My husband bought a kit. I tried phone cards and other common forms of communications available. I also use text messaging a lot and emails but talking to family and friends is much more meaningful. I find the phonecards a real rif-off, our telephone carrier Frontier charge a lot. There must be some other ways out there available. If you know any, please share, I will truly appreciate it.

That is of course besides the clothing, and other baby goods, (they have a lot of those) or money and stocks and bonds, edu fund, etc (that is already taken care of). Thanks for your ideas.

I have been battling with high cholasterol for years and I refused to take medications as I am more inclined to do alternative solution, if I could. I watched what I eat, I exercise, I have a good active lifestyle, I drink a lot of tea, avoid fatty foods, but nothing seems to work. Anyone with a sincere advice on possible employer besides the obvious places such as McDonald's, Burger King, BelAir, Safeway, Radio Shack, Big 5, Pizza places, etc he tried to apply on all those in the last 2 days.
