I am the mother of a beautiful boy born October 2007. He's growing so fast! Our daughter will arrive October 2010!

  • My kitten is 5 months old and constantly pees on the beds...?

My kitten is 5 months old and she has been neutered. She constantly pees on the beds, Both mine and my son's. I keep the doors closed during the day, however she does it when I'm getting ready in the morning or when I'm doing laundry. How do I get her to stop? Her litter is cleaned nightly. I use fresh step, not cheap stuff. She always has food and water. She does this about once a day ( yes... once a day) and has been for a few weeks now.

  • Hair Gel for Safe for Baby?

I'm looking for a hair gel that is safe for my 7 month old. She is getting baptized, and we are taking baptism pictures. Her hair has ringlet curls when wet, but dries funny- like wavy. I'm concerned about the chemicals in regular gels or sprays.

    Any suggestions?

Oh, she has a full head of hair. Its over 4 inches long. :)

  • how to revive bamboo plant?

I have a small bamboo plant that I received as a gift. It is in a small vase with rocks, not dirt. I kept the plant alive around 6 months, but forgot to water it recently. Now the leaves are all yellow. I also kept it in a window sill with lots of light. This past summer it was fine, but living in Northern Michigan, my window sill can get pretty chilly at times in the winter.

can I cut the stalk.. and hope new leaves will grow? Should I pull the yellow leaves off?

    Or is it donefor.

Also, I would like to get another one, should it be in rocks/pebbles or should I replant it in dirt?

  • 3 month old, Spitting up all the time?

My daughter is 3.5 months old and she has been spitting up a lot since she's been born. She spits up a little after every feeding, and about once or twice in between. Has anyone had a child like this? When did it stop or at least let up? I can't keep her in clothes, I mean I'm changing her outfit every diaper change and doing laundry every day! Burp clothes and receiving blankets up the wazoo!

  • Water Breaking in bathtub?

So, I'm 39 weeks!!! And I take a bath every night. It soothes my lower back pain and the strain on my muscles. As I was sitting in the tub today, I was wondering if I'd feel my water breaking if it happened while I was in the tub.

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this. Please only respond if you have personally experienced this or know someone who did.

  • Braxton hicks contractions for the past 1.5 months...?

So I've been having on and off contractions for almost 2 months now. I'm 34 weeks.

My question is, because i have about 3-10 and hour every day, all day and night- does that mean my labor won't be as bad? I mean they say that Braxton hicks is your uterus conditioning itself for labor, right? So will have gone through 3 months of Training!!

Just wondering if any of you have had similar situations or knows about this.

FYI- I've seen the doctor, and I'm not dilated as of 2 days ago. So I know I'm not in labor!

  • How soon can you tell if your child is color blind?

My son will be 3 in October. His vocabulary is really good, and he remembers all the children's names in his summer preschool class, and he's very social toward children as well as adults. However, I notice that most of the children his age know a handful of colors. My son knows NONE. Actually, he knows white. That's it.

At what age did your children start learning their colors? We work with him every day... so does school. Has anyone dealt with this issue?

I understand he's still young. We do flash cards, we ask him questions constanty. Its not that he's not interested... he is. I'll point to something, and say, what color is this! He'll say, Green, Yellow, Red- just start listing colors.

    Thanks for responding!

  • How long to keep unwanted employment applications?

I'm a new employer that just took over our business. We get 100s of applications a month, and in the past they've kept them for a year. This seems to me like a huge waste of space.

How soon can I shred the employee applications that are turned in?

I live in the State of Michigan.

  • Lower Back pain during pregnancy?

I'm 17 weeks, on my second pregnancy. I have severe back pain... lower back, right side near my hip. Constant pain, worse at the end of the day. Then a different problem, same area - I will be fine, then I"ll stand up and I can almost not even stand on my right leg. It takes a minute or two... then I can hobble to where ever I need to go, then a few minutes later I can walk it off. This happens several times a day.

Has anyone ever had this happen? This happened in my last pregnancy, but it was in my very last month, and wasn't this bad.

I have an appointment this week, I was just wondering what anyone else did in this situation.

    Thanks

  • Ugly Betty Fans only?

Sorry I'm posting this question again, maybe I wasn't clear before.

I'd like the number of episode in season 4 of Ugly Betty where they address Hilda and Bobby's baby going away.. or something. I've been told it died, but have no idea how I missed an episode because I watched it religiously, or so I thought.

Sounds like I missed an Important episode.....

Again, I'm looking for an episode name and number, not a website forum.. where anyone can post anything and people take it seriously.

    Thanks everyone!

  • is it possible i felt my baby?

I will be 16 weeks on Monday with my 2nd pregnancy. And, I know the feeling of gas, bloating... those gas bubbles can feel an awful alot like baby, from what I remember from my Past pregnancy. I even remember after being pregnant, getting a bubble in my belly- thinking the baby was moving, and then realizing that I had my baby 4 weeks ago!!

Anyway- I am almost 16 week, BUT in my ultrasound they moved my due date back a week. I accurately tracked my period (we were ttc) and if you go by that chart I'm already 17 weeks.

I'm just wondering if it is even possible, and if any of you guys have felt the baby this early!

    Thanks Ladies!~

  • What's the best baby name site?

We're having the hardest time coming up with a name for our second child. We don't know the sex. Our son's name is James.

I need an AWESOME baby name website. Right now we use Babynames.com and the bumb.com

Anyone have a hidden secret we don't know about??

And if its a boy- we're thinking classic like James

If its a girl - we're thinking more outside the classic.. more modern.

    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

  • Switching from Crib to Bunk Beds- standard size.?

ATTN PARENTS!! Today, our brand new bunk beds were delivered, and I'm trying to get my 24 month old to take a nap in them!! He's yelling MAMA as we speak... OK. So, how do I get him to stay in bed? He's in bed now playing, do i let him play... if he's still in bed.

Can you share what worked for you??

    Thanks!

P.s. He's NEVER slept in our bed. Should I lay there for a minute? I don't want to do that every time though... And should I go when he calls everytime?
