I unlocked my Sony Xperia U phone. If I upgrade it, will I lose the unlock?
I bought a Sony Xperia U phone. I paid to get a code with the IMEI and I unlocked the phone (not jailbreak) so I could use another SIM card on it.
Now, pretty soon the 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) version of Android will be available for the phone. (Right now I have 2.3.7) If I upgrade, will the phone relock itself?
Thanks..
2 AnswersMobile Phones & Plans9 years agoI think I damaged my vocal chords... can I recover?
I'm not a singer, but I've always had a good singing voice.
Now 5 or 6 months ago I sarted doing karate, 3 times a week. And I always have to scream "ah! hey!" and etc when I punch or kick.
I didn't think much about it until I went to karaoke the other day. I hadn't been in a while and I just couldn't sing properly! I felt like my singing range had considerably been reduced and I kept hitting false notes. Then it dawned on me --- my karate practice has ruined my voice.
I am distressed and depressed. My question is - can my chords recover naturally if I stop screaming? Or are they permanently damaged now? :(:(
Thanks in advance...
2 AnswersSinging10 years agoAre you guys ready for the Atheist Persecution ages?
Remember the time when people were in danger is they opposed the Church?
It's funny to see the opposite is actually slowly but surely coming to fruition. With so much venom and hostility spit out by atheists, you know it's just a question of time before atheists rule it illegal to be Christian.
It'll be like communist Russia all over again. Christians will be sent to camps, tortured, murdered, humiliated, etc. In the name of "freedom", no less! See the irony?
The sheer stupidity of it all depresses me. It always baffles me to see how some people are so hard-headed are are just impatiently waiting for the day where it'll be legal for them to kill Christians. Or at least report them to the State.
The Pro-Homosexual propaganda is also a step in this direction. You can't say a single thing against homosexuals publicly without being swept away by complaints and media involvment. Yet you can say pretty much anything against God, and most specifically Jesus and Christians and you'll be fine. You're allowed to write journal articles about deluded Christians. But don't you dare speak out against gays, even if done politely.
Brace yourself, people. Sooner or later, we'll be persecuted again. You can be 100% sure of that.

Does this expression exist in Japanese? Anybody would know?
Don't bother with a google translate, I DO speak Japanese, I'm looking for a way to say this expression in particular or an equivalent.
3 AnswersLanguages10 years agoI am against vegetarianism? Opinions?
Hey. I'm not trying to start a flame war here or insult anybody, I just want to know if I'm the only one thinking like that? Or if you have ever heard what I'm about to say before?
I think most people are neutral about vegetarianism/vegan-ism. I've been talking to a lot of vegetarians in my life and when I ask them if their boyfriends / girlfriends are also vegetarian / vegan, I often get that "Oh no, my boyfriend loves his meat too much, lol!" kind of answer.
Same ring of bell from non-vegetarians - they're just like "Nah, I just need my meat.".
Well that's nice and all, but I feel like I am AGAINST this way of thinking.
I was inculcated with Christian principles when I grew up, so I happen to think that Man has dominion over the animal kingdom and can eat animals if he wishes to. I'm not talking about senseless killing here, but killing to eat.
But even for atheists, if all we are are animals, don't animals in nature eat each other? If a lion eats an antelope, why can't I eat beef?
I ask this mainly for the vegetarians / vegans who have this more extreme way of thinking by saying that eating animals is actually wrong! That always baffles me. I remember I saw that too in the documentary "SuperSize Me", where Murdock's girlfriend tells him that he is living in a system that is 'wrong'.
To me, in this case, vegetarianism becomes a cult. It's worse than a religion. You can't eat this soup because it's made of chicken stock? You won't use your fork because it slightly touched bacon? Like, wow, isn't that crazy??
Any thoughts on all of this? Again, I don't mean to offend anybody, that's just how I see it...
31 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan10 years agoSome stuff I don't understand about calories...?
Alright, so there is some stuff I don't understand about calories. I've always been eating as much as I want, not counting calories, eating wayyy over my supposed "calorie limit" every day, and never got fat. Always had this little belly though, and though invisible under a shirt, annoys me without one.
So recently I've decided to start counting calories and exercise to get rid of it. Now, I read a bunch of stuff online about it and some questions remain. Maybe somebody here can answer me?
1- Let's say I want to eat 2000 calories every day. Is there a difference if I eat 2000 calories of lettuce ONLY or french fries ONLY in one day? In both cases, I eat 2000 calories. Will one affect my weight more than the other? (Now, I don't need to know that fries are unhealthy, or that I'd have to eat a crapload of lettuce in one day. That's not my question.)
2- I keep reading that it's better to eat many small meals a day to trick your body into processing faster rather than skipping breakfast or something because then your body will absorb everything.
Hmmm, then answer me this:
What if I eat ONE meal a day that's exactly 2000 calories OR FIVE 400 calorie meals a day? In both cases, I get exactly 2000 calories. Will one choice make me fatter than the other? If there IS a difference, then that means that the number of calories you eat is not absolute...
3- Lastly, I keep hearing different things about eating FAST or SLOW. Does that really make a difference? Ok, I get it, if you eat too fast, you eat more because you don't have time to "feel full" so you keep eating until you do. But what if you CAN'T eat more? What if I have a 1000 calories meal regardless of how fast I eat, will it actually change something if I eat fast or slow?
Greatly appreciated if someone can answer me this! Thanks in advance.
