Okay well we've just bought our first place, it's a reaalllyy big apartment with a good sized balcony which can be dog-proofed. We have 3 parks close by with ponds and long stretches of grass n all that.. We would prefer a small dog because we have to convince strata management that the puppy wouldnt be a problem what so ever. SO continuing with the whole no-nuisance to other people (theres only 4 apartments in our sub complex) we were looking for a small, quiet dog.. shedding isnt all that important, its mostly just the barking and trainability. Oh, and she may be alone for maybe 5 hours during the day so one that gets lonely wouldnt exactly be a great idea..

I've thought about adopting a dog for a while especially with being in an apartment and how some people may consider it cruel and what not.. But the puppy would easily get 1+ hour/s of exercise daily (to parks, fields, farms and beaches) with plenty of attention and grooming, it wouldnt be deprived at all apart from the hours during the day when we might not be home (and even so, its better than it having to be put down at the pound) It'd be great if it didn't rip things up during the day, i'd be happy to buy an endless amount of toys.

Sorry for such a long question, I'll sum it up.

We're looking for a good breed of dog who:

-wont mind/can deal with being alone for a few hours during the day

-has good trainability for doggy toilet or litter tray training

-will make minimal noise or can be trained to make very little noise

-isnt awfully agressive towards other dogs

-reasonable energy level

-cuddly :DDD one to snuggle up to when you're feeling kinda sad >.<

we've considered a papillion (favourite choice right now, tips?), westies, yorkies (a bit yappy..), shih tzu, maltipoos, corgis n dachshunds.

Any advice or experiences you can give me would be absolutely fantastic, so thank you in advance :D

Okay, first off, I'm a girl.. doesnt change much ..hopefully :P Hum, I'm 16 and would like to learn a form of fighting/martial arts/whatever you want to call it, because I've had to drop playing team sports lately, and learning martial arts is kinda enchanting isnt it? I'm pretty strong.. physically and mentally, and I used to do Tae Kwon Do when I was younger.

I was considering kick boxing, but asian forms of fighting are amazing. I've gone through other peoples questions and have considered different styles, and I know theres no best one. But, I would prefer one that didnt focus on ground or grappling techniques - mostly kicking and fist work, staff and stick work would be good too. I'm not like a 3698 pound anime crazed chick that wants to learn quick martial arts haha! I'm interested in stealth, combat, movement and grace. I'm pretty fit and would work on flexibility if it was needed.

There are so many different types of dojos and martial arts centres around Sydney that all teach different types, so I should be able to find one okay, I've looked them up on the yellow pages.

So far I've considered Bujinkan but I've heard it's like watered down ninjutsu, and some other ones that I cant remember.

So yeah.. your opinion? No training is too grueling, I've been through 9 years of hard endurance and circuit training in the pouring rain while being smacked with hockey sticks and scraping my knees on the sand turf xD

Okay so for about a year I've gotten into the habbit of washing my hair ALMOST every day. Sometimes ill wash it every 2 days, and during a 6 week break period ill wash it about 3 times a week. It was going nice for a while, but it's gotten to the point where my roots have become a bit oily and I can't do my usual hair style because of it.

What are some methods (not treatments or products) that I can use to reduce oilyness. Or whats the best way to phase yourself out of washing it everyday? I know you can just 'not wash it everyday' but I dont wanna go to school looking gross and oily :P

Also are there any products in Sydney that can totally reconstruct your hair? I already use one (its a red bottle) and it's kinda making it worse.
