  • Should I get a weimaraner?

I have previously had a St. Germain Pointer, which is a similarly sized dog. I have a very large fenced yard. I do have two cats but they are pretty laid back and tolerant. I love to spend time with my dog and do obedience training, is a weimaraner the right dog for me?

  • What's up with the TV show COPS?

I get the feeling that the TV show COPS, edits out every interaction with police where the citizen in question is rational, aware of their rights when interacting with police, and invokes their rights? Do you believe the show is full-on propaganda?

  • What of a grown adult acting like an irresponsible teenager?

Here's the situation. A grown adult, who is a homeowner, financially secure, independent, and without children, decides to live like an irresponsible teenager. Engaging in but not limited to: not being even interested in being employed, late night partying, sleeping until noon or later, consuming significant quantities of alcoholic beverages, consuming cannabis, very loud music, hours (even days) of video gaming, binge watching Netflix, watching porn, eating everything that appeals from fine food (prime steak, shrimp, sushi) to junk like pizza, burgers, & nachos. Ordering takeout/ delivery. Lounging about for days on end wearing the same clothes, not bathing, not shaving, then eventually taking a shower for 45 minutes to an hour, sometimes looking to “hook up” with members of the opposite sex. Is this right? Should a grown person choose to live like this? Should they be allowed to choose to live like this?

  • Please help with dream interpretation:?

Last night I was visited by a messenger in my dreams. Manifested as a fluttering of images, fluttering like feathers and wings, but images not identifiable. There was a message, but I don't think it was understandable. Some kind of warning about the past maybe? The message was benevolent, but I was upset by it or at least by the delivery. It was very intense, and I've never experienced anything quite like it before. Any thoughts or opinions?

  • How can I make things better for my wife and our marrage?

I was injured in an accident about 6 weeks ago, off work alot of the time recovering. My wife did try to help me at first, and I will admit I was in alot of physical pain, on pain medications, and very frustrated by my situation (inability to work, drive, get in and out of the shower by myself etc) I'm sure I was not appreciative of the things she did for me during this time, at least in a way that she saw as appreciative. Throughout our marrage she has not always heard what I say. I'm not good at using tone/ inflection when I say things, so she frequently hears meaning in what I say that honestly just isn't there. At some point she decided I'm just an ingrateful jerk, and decided to blow me off entirely. I'm trying to get back to work 3 days a week now, but we live 30 minutes of hard commute from my office. I've been getting rides from other coworkers when I can, but sometimes I need her to drop me off at the office. She hates it, and thinks I am unappreciative and think that she HAS to do this because we are married. I say thank you, but my gratitude falls on deaf ears. I sent flowers to her office, and she said I only did it to make myself look good to her coworkers. That's what I'm dealing with. I want so much to get back to the life we had before, but it's a long road. Everything I do is percieved as a shallow meaningless attempt to get back into her good graces. Is there anything I can do to make things between us better?

  • I live in a neighborhood, can I install a high mounted pan-tilt-zoom security camera on the roof of my home for surveillance?

What if the placement of the camera also affords views of the surrounding neighborhood and other peoples property? I want to have one cam that covers my whole property for convienence and cost savings, but I wonder if my neighbors can prevent me from placing it high on the roof.

  • Ladies, would you meet him for dinner?

If you met a polite, well mannered guy about your age in an airport or on a plane, and he was sharply dressed; collared dress shirt, nice shoes/ belt/ watch and he asked you to dinner when you reach your destination, would you meet him for dinner? What if he was older than you?

  • How much do you need to make per hour to just be comfortable in your life?

Not to "be rich" or to get the stuff that you want. Just be comfortable. Roof over your head, internet, TV, phone, utilities, bills paid, some insurance, and a small amount left over each month for entertainment or savings. What is the dollar amount per hour that would get you there?

  • Should I join a church for the benefit of my wife and child?

I was raised in a Christian home and had the whole Christian upbringing. My wife and I have been happily married 18 years. We were married in a Lutheran church. Several years ago I had a sort of epiphany, and took on a very positive and tolerant atheist worldview. I simply came to the personal realization that religion is a human creation that can greatly benefit those who choose to practice it. After all, my religious upbringing made me the kind and loving guy I am. Six months ago my child started attending a church with friends, my wife began going there too. They are both having a great time and enjoying the experience. I have attended a few times to check it out, and while the production and pageantry of it all is very impressive, I can't help but feel it's all so delusional. I feel pretty hypocritical standing there singing hymns when I have a different take on life in my heart. Next summer the youth is having a leadership camp that my child wants to attend, but one of the prerequisites is church membership. Should I join the church, proclaiming to believe something that I do not so my child can have the same kind of upbringing I was fortunate to have experienced? Basically, as a parent and a spouse, is it a good thing to live a little part of your life as a lie to in essence "take one for the team"?

As long as pursuing those impulses does not tread on the rights of others, of course.

  • I feel like I am living a "charmed life" as if fate favors me personally. Am I imagining it?

I know a lot of people that just can't seem to get a break. They meet the wrong people, they end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and get in trouble. That ends up costing them time and resources they already didn't have. If they do ever get a break something comes along, they make a bad decision and boom they're two steps back again. This stuff doesn't happen to me. As a matter of fact, in hindsight, anything that has happened in the past that might have at the time seemed like a bad thing eventually is revealed as a windfall. Am I soaking up all the good luck? (I am Irish-American after all) Can certain people, or families, be naturally blessed?
