It is a WD My Passport 1TB drive, with Kali linux installed, and the partition of the drive with the system is marked bootable. It does not show up in the boot menu. How fix?

Partitioning:

512GB Kali, bootable, /

8GB swap

Rest(400 and some GB) to be an encrypted partition.

I used the install disk, and installed grub on the HDD. I have my BIOS in legacy mode(I think it is EFI). What else do I have to do to boot kali? Win7 is installed on the internally HDD, BTW.

Serious answers only. I asked a similar question and some guy said I needed to disable secure boot even though I had it disabled, and said so in the description.

I went through the entire install process, but the drive does not show up in the BIOS(it shows up in windows), so I can not boot it. Is there any way to remedy this situation?

I tried to install debian live on a USB, but it only detected 1 core of my processor(out of 2). When I later tried to install debian onto the same drive from the live version, it failed to boot. Can anyone tell me how to install debian on a USB without a second one(Because 2 USB systems have thousands of guides.)

I would like to know the easiest way to use mingw to make a gui app, but without using the confusing WinMain function. I would also prefer not to have to download anything, but if I have to download one or two files, I will be okay.

So I am connected to the Internet through the Ethernet, using Linux, and ping says destination net unreachable. Chrome also says I am not connected to the Internet, but I am. Please help.

After working for ~1 day, my computer goes to the boot screen. The only things I am running are create_ap, and TerraTech 0.6.2, with 4 GB RAM and 8 swap. What should I do to prevent this?
