I live in Illinois and I'm thinking about buying a build it yourself flintlock kit made by Traditions and I'm just wondering if it is a FOID transaction as in is there the typical waiting period and will I need my FOID card and all that or can I just go in and leave the store with the kit at the same time?

I am trying to polish a knife that I'm making out of plain steel. I have it all polished with sandpaper and I have a felt polishing disc and the black emery compound. But when I try to polish with the grinder it just leaves like a white film on the steel and doesn't polish it. So can anyone tell me the correct way to use this setup to correctly polish my knife? Thanks!

My Henry consistently shoots to high, even at short distances like 10 yards. At that range it already shoots a couple inches high and at 30 yards its about 1 foot high. I have tried adjusting the sight ladder to its lowest position, as well as different types of ammo, but nothing works. So I believe that if I file a little bit off of the rear sight that should make the gun shoot lower? But does anyone have any other suggestions of things to try before I resort to filing down the rear sight?

This is a school paper and I would just like to know what questions or events the Warren Commission didnt answer or talk about, as well as any good sources relating to holes in the Commission if possible.

I want to remove the catalytic converters on my truck and replace them with straight pipes (I've already done this with the mufflers). Would the O2 sensors cause any problems with having straight pipes instead of the cats?

So basically can anyone recommend a quality board that doesn't cost too much?...Also, do companies sell boards in packages with bindings or do you have to buy the board, bindings, and boots separately?

What are the negatives if any?

I would like to plant a few patches of food in the woods to attract deer this hunting season, throughout the season. What crop should I plant? This type of food must be something that i can buy at Rural King or Walmart, or a similar store. Also, it needs to be fairly easy to plant and grow. Also, when should I plant this in order to it to be ready for the start of the season October 1?

Please describe any other information like.. If using the torch or open fire, how do i know when the steel is hot enough just to temper it? How long would the steel need to be heated?
