Possible copyright question?
I'm going to be working on a new series of drawings for sale. I'll be drawing wine bottles and want to draw them with their original labels. I don't know if this is exactly a copyright issue, but I don't know what else to consider it. The issue is: I won't be endorsed by the companies while producing an image of their brand and putting it up for sale. Could this create an issue in legality of the drawings? Note: I won't be altering the appearance of the product or the label in any way because this series will focus on photorealism.
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics8 years agoShould I seal an oil painting before sale?
I've been painting for a while (mostly still lifes and landscapes) and all my finished oil paintings are starting to clutter up my home. I just don't have anywhere for them. A friend suggested I sell them--they're pretty simple and commercial, so I figure if I sell them for cheap I could get some buyers. But my question is, should I put a sealant on them before selling them? I know you're supposed to wait 6 months from the date of completion before you seal and that it can be a tricky process, but how necessary is it? Does it affect the longevity of the piece that much?
1 AnswerPainting8 years agoMost effective workout for weight loss?
I'm definitely suffering from college weight gain and would like to trim back up again. I used to do martial arts and was in it for about 5 years before having to quit because it cost too much. I'm 5' 0" and currently 125 pounds--at peak physical shape during my martial arts years I was 112 (my current weight might not seem like much, but for my height and particular figure it's quite noticeable). So the question is, should I go about getting fit through cardio work on an elliptical/treadmill, or should I do some sort of high-intensity or circuit training? I'd like to do this within a reasonable amount of time--two to three months with a steady, healthy weight loss of about ten to fifteen pounds. Where I live, bikini season starts early in the year, so I'd like to feel a little more comfortable in my skin when the time rolls around :)
42 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoCan someone help me find a book I'm looking for?
My father used to read my sister and I stories from a book of fairy tales when we were little. They were my favorite stories, but now that I've grown up and we've moved so many times I'm not sure where it's at or what the collection was called. I'd really like to find the book so I can buy it.
The book was pretty large and had this strange smushy cover. The illustration panel ran from the front to the back and depicted a woodland scene with a beautiful fairy on the front, all drawn in gold and amber hues. The lining of the pages was also gold (kinda like how you see with a Bible or a fancy journal when it's closed, the pages are lined with silver or gold).
Some of the stories in the book were Beauty and the Beast (which was the first story of the book, I remember), Rumpelstiltskin, The Steadfast Tin Soldier, The Little Match Girl, and Snow White . I wish I could remember more :(
If anyone has any idea what this collection of fairy tales might be called I would really appreciate the help!
