I adopted my new kitten yesterday, a little 12 week old boy who is fixed. I have an about 10 year old declawed and fixed female cat. Yesterday I let them sniff each other while the kitten was in the crate. Everything was fine until the kitten put his paw out and swiped at her she hissed at the kitten. Then someone in my family let them out together. The kitten playfully pounced on her and the old cat hissed and growled. Then she backed in to a corner and hid. The kitten found her and tried to play. My cat tried clawing him but she had no claws. I then separated them, leaving the kitten in my room. Is there anyway I can make them have a good relationship and tolerate each other? My kitten is so hyper for my calm 10 year old cat.

I have a male kitten. He is a medium haired cat that is white with some brown patches and black patches. He is super energetic and very friendly.

I adopted a kitten yesterday. He hasn't seen his mom since he was 3 weeks old. He lived with his brother and sister at a pet place. He really hates being alone and meows and cries even if I leave him for 5 minutes. During the day everyone is gone for like 9 hours. Will he be okay left alone for that long?Are other cat won't be with him as they don't like each other. During the weekend we will be with him.

My older cat is very calm, about 10 years old, and declawed on all paws. Now yesterday I brought my kitten Rascal home. He is extremely playful. My older cat doesn't have much of a sense of smell, so she really didn't know he was there. I took my new kittens carrier with him in it and showed it to her. All was fine until my kitten playfully stuck his paws out of the hole and swatted at her. She hissed at him. Then someone in my family let them out together. The kitten playfully pounced on her and tried hanging on to her belly. She freaked out and hissed again. My kittens too playful for her. Anyway to make her like him? Our idea is keeping him in the safe room while we're gone and then when we're here let her see him in his carrier for 5 minutes.
