  • Husband had an accident on his brothers atv. Should I sue?

The atv belongs to his brother. The place the accident happened was brother's, in-laws home property. My husband is now a quadriplegic on a ventilator for the rest of his life. My husband said the brakes would not stop the atv. His brother is very angry that I got my husband a lawyer and his brother says it was my husband's fault and I shouldn't sue his or the father in laws home owners insurance.

We are not suing his brother but the home owners insurance. What do you think?

  • Do I have a right to be upset?

I have been trying for several years to get my husband to somewhere (anywhere) for a weekend alone together. He always says he has to work; and yes he is really working.

He never trys to stop me if I want to go somewhere alone or with friends. But even when I have had to go to emergency room he says unless I really really need him he would prefer to work.

The problem is his mother called and ask him to drive 300 miles to put up curtains for her. Her daughter, who is rich lives near mom and she has a husband. however, my husband whose boss needed my husband to work, and who normally would, said no he needed the day off because he had to visit his mom.

I'm not saying I don't want him to see his mom. But do I have a right to be upset? Only serious respond please

  • GPS for violent offenders. what do you think?

Should violent offenders, pedophiles, rapist, kidnappers, stalkers have to wear GPS anklet devices. I would have to say yes. My daughter was kidnapped at gunpoint and there was a domestic injunction against him. I realize that the devices won't stop crime but it at least would give the police time to notify victim that the perp is in the area. Also victims wouldn't be required to face their attackers for 10 minutes to an hour before police finally got there.

    What's your thoughts?

  • Imus and Muslim cartoons: Both were offensive to ppl. Why ask Imus to leave and say cartoons were fine?

First let me state I don't care if you think I'm racist, I'm not. I will not defend my beliefs as all people deserve respect. We're all humans and thats all I care about. What I am is curious about is during the big hoopla with the cartoons that pictured Muhummad. At that time everyone said it was only a cartoon in the newspaper get over it. Now it's a comment made by a radio disc jockey and people are saying, "he's racist fire him!"

Exactly how do you draw the line between what is offensive or racist and what is free speech?

    Just wondering.

Seems like there are a lot of hypocrits worrying more about what a disc jockey says than a cartoon that made a mockery of a religious figure that created chaos and riots.... and yes they are hypocrits as they said it was 1st amendment for the newspapers so why isn't it 1st amendment for radio?

Don't shoot the messenger only an observation.

  • How can I truly trust after?

I found out my husband has been hiding money from me. Trust me I kick my in the *** for my stupidity. He has lied to me about the money, and just small things. I found out some of the money went to pay for sex. He will not touch me when his brother is around. He says he doesn't realize he's doing it.. or not doing it as the case may be. His brother doesn't like me and calls me names and things behind my back I recently found out. To my face he is very respectful. Back stabbing bastard!

Does this man truly love me or is he just used to me. We've been married for over 14 years. I already think I know the answer but what would you do in my shoes... only sincere honest answers please. this is breaking my heart and we have 2 teens in the home.

  • i put a site up that offended ppl..it was a simple site not an invite or moral judgement against anyone?

I thought it a funny site and lots of pple seem to be judging the product advertised. I found that most answers were judgemental and unexpected. To those who saw the site and gave a holier than thou answer. Look deep inside at why the product bothered you. For those who suspect their significant other of cheating the answers I received were.... you shouldn't have gotten married, you should learn to pick them better, if you suspect them then get out of the relationship are among the answers I remember.

To you who gave these answers (you know who you are) may I wish the serenity of the ignorant, the peace of the peacock with their heads in the sand, and the wisdom that even if your spouse/partner is cheating that you never have to deal with the STD's in the world.

    Ok I've vented....

  • what the hell. why are Islamist soooo sensitive? Get over it already?

I understand the fact that you want to protect your religion. However, trying to start riots over every word uttered or you feel is an insult has been taken too far.

No other religion is as sensitive nor as ready to back up those beliefs with guns and bombs. Having religious conviction and standing up for your rights is one thing. Taking every remark and turning them into a reason to become violent has gotten to the point that people are going to turn a deaf ear to your concerns and whining.

What do you think? Is this whining gotten to a point that it is out of control or do Islamist have a right to complain and kill in the name of Allah still?

  • hubby hiding something or what?

Ok the hubby looks at porno... I get it and I'm fine with that. He is an adult and can look at what he wants. My problem is that the other night I came into the room and hubby did not realize I saw that he was looking for webcam/chat porno sites. When he did realize he shut out the browser completely so I couldnt ask him to hit back. Then looking into history I find he has been visiting adultfriend finder and ifriend. He denies it of course. Says he is only looking for porn. I ask him why he closed out the browser the other night then and he said it was because he was embarrassed. Bullsh*t. We have been married 14 years and never been embarrassed. All of a sudden he grows a conscience?

What do you think he was doing and/or hiding? And should I confront him about it. Usually he will lie like a dog.

  • Why isn't Bin laden in the videos?

IF all soldiers/fighters/troops look to their "leader" for answers and objectives/goals and Bin Laden is supposedly the "leader" of Al Aaeda then why hasn't he been in the last few threat videos?

When Castro was hospitalized everyone assumed he was dead or dying and he was shown on television alive just to make the point.

However since the US stated Bin Laden was severely wounded or dead no photos have been shown of him alive and kicking. Is he still alive and controlling Al Qaeda; or, is Usama dead, or paralyzed, and his second in command now using excerpts from previous statements and videos of Usama to retain control. IS he thinking that if the other jihadists found out that Usama was no longer in control would they carry out jihad?

  • Is Osama in Pakistan? Why is Bush making deals with them if any hint that Osama or Al Qaeda is there?

Over the past five years only a handful of al Qaeda figures, most notably Khalid Sheik Mohammad, the reported coordinator of the 9/11 attacks, has been picked up. Most al-qaeda suspects have been picked up in Pakistan's teeming cities. Not hiding in caves. It (Pakistan) is becoming a principal al Qaeda hub of operation. London bombers Shahzad Tanwer and Mohammad Sediq Khan came here for training and to record their suicide messages before their July 7 attack in 2005. Their messages were later released by al Qaeda's video production arm, As Sahab, apparently a Pakistan-based operation. And this year the arrests in London in August over the suspected multiple hijacking plot came after a British Pakistani was arrested here. Credit to Nic Robertson - CNN

My question is this: Why is the U.S. helping a country that seems to be harboring Osama and Al Qaeda? Americans seem to look the other way and ask why isn't more being done? Is anyone asking this simple yet vital question to Congress?

  • Does a child of an affair have rights to know the other family if the affair ended before birth?

Ok.. if a person has an affair and both are aware the woman is pregnant and the man already has a family does the child resulting from the affair have a right to know the details and other family? It was interesting to note that people who normally would say that a child born out of wedlock DESERVES the support of the biological father's family had TOTALLY opposite views when the child was a product of an affair with a married man.

I disagree however. I think ALL children deserve to know their parents. Just because a woman forgives her husband for cheating doesn't mean the child he fathered no longer exists. If you forgive then that child is still HIS responbility and the wife, along with the mother of the child. Does forgiveness entitle the father free pass on financial and legal obligations?
