I am having an "affair of the heart" with an old friend that has been going on for 8 months. (Not consumated). But I believe we love each other. I am still married but am seeking legal advice. I've since dated another man and had a great time. Now I'm cheating on the man I cheated on my husband with. What is wrong with me.

I was reunited with an old friend who was never a boyfriend. I found out he was "smitten" with me and he had told me several times that he wished I wasn't married. We had come to the conclusion that this relationship could not work but that if anything happened to my marriage, to give him a call. Since then I haven't stopped thinking about him. We have since started a "fling" (no sex yet) and talk every day. He's 46 I'm 41 and (hubby is 34). I feel I've fallen for him and hubby has since found out about "fling". I agreed to go to marriage counseling but I really want to explore this other relationship. I really just want to be single again so that "cheating" won't exist. My fling is divorced (but still lives with his ex for financial reasons and for their son). He has told me over and over he'd move as soon as Im single. Things are getting close to being over with my husband and I wonder if I should go through with the split at all.
