  • How many of us settle?

At some point it seems a majority of us just accept that the perfect person for us does not exist. Very few of us find true love. Just curious how many of us have settled, and if you have what are you dealing with that is less than ideal? Did you settle because you feel you have baggage (ex husband/wife, kids, etc.)?

  • Anyone else living with fibromyalgia?

After a lot of tests, pain and even wrong diagnosis (I was told I had lupus), it was determined I had lymes disease and fibromyalgia. I've been living with it for two years, avoiding medication, but now the pain and flares are too frequent to not have some help. I'd like to know what you are taking for medication, how you deal with the pain, and any recommendation's you might have. I was treated for lyme disease but I am still dealing with some residual problems as it went so long untreated.

  • I am going through a long drawn out divorce over debt that isn't mine!?

When I got together with my ex I had no debt. He had a ton of debt. We got married, and I moved into his house that his ex had completely trashed and took everything of value. We bought furniture and everything we needed, we spent 15k to make the house livable and a home (new paint, linoleum, remodeled bedroom, etc) . When I left I left with my clothes, that's it. He is trying to make me pay half the debt- for his house, which he still has, and everything in it. Is this fair? I didn't want to fight, but he hired a lawyer so now I had to get a lawyer. I am not asking someone to tell me I should have known better, or to get a lawyer, I know that... what I am asking is has anyone else dealt with this and for the principle of the matter, is this fair?

  • How long until that broken heart feeling passes?

I've just found out my man was screwing around on me, and I've asked him to move out. He's been a real jerk for the last 2 months but I thought it would pass so I hung in there. I am just so hurt it's making me sick to my stomach and I have that feeling like my heart is breaking. When will it get better?

  • Best recovery method and medication for Lyme Disease?

I just wanted to get some feedback for others who have dealt with Lyme Disease. What medication worked for you? How long since you "recovered", and what are your lingering symptoms? I was on doxycylin, seemed to help but now the symptoms are back. I've had Lyme Disease for about 2 years, I was originally diagnosed with Lupus until 2 months ago, when my blood work came back positive for Lyme. I want to hear there is hope, becuase the pain and fatigue is overwhelming.

  • Compromise, at what point are you asking too much of someone?

Before my husband and I got married he seemed to be organized, clean, and generally had a handle on things. Now it's like he expects me to do it all. And if I ask for help he procrastinates until I do it. Now he says I am being controlling because I asked him to do the dishes after dinner while I did laundry. To top it off he had 3 kids, I have 2...so we have a lot of household chores due to the large family. I have lupus, I work full time, I just don't know what to do about his attitude, he is so un-nurturing and un-helpful.

  • Anyone living with lupus?

I was diagnosed about 6 months ago. My doctor wants me to avoid taking the standard lupus medications until I HAVE to. There are days when I can barely walk, and it seems as though continuosly I am having new symptoms. I know it effects everyone differently, but I just wanted to ask for those who may be living with lupus, like myself:

    1) What medication do you take for pain management (preferably other than the standard lupus medications)?

    2) What sort of pain and symptoms do you experience?

    3) How has lupus effected your life?

    Thank you for your time!

  • Out of state joint custody ...?

Just wanted to hear how people feel about out of state joint custody. I know it's not ideal, though I'd like to hear how people make it WORK. If you see your kids once a month, holidays, summer, and school breaks is that enough to be a "parent"?
