  • My sister and I are purchasing a home...?

My credit does not allow me to qualify at a good rate, but I have the down payment. She has better credit and a high income and needs the tax write off. I plan to buy her out of the house in a few years once I am finished with nursing school. What is the best way to include me on the title/deed?(We are in California) I do not know if quit claiming it to us is best since she would like to retain it as a residence and a tax break. Any advice you can offer would be great- thank you in advance!!

  • Divorce process in CA?

My sister has filed for an uncontested divorce from her husband of 4 years. He filed a response asking for alimony as well as for her to pay his attorney fees. What is the next step? She is adamant about not hiring an attorney, feeling like the courts will see that he is being ridiculous. What is the next step...she has received nothing from the court regarding hearing dates...can anyone tell us the process and what the next step should be? Thank you.

  • Do you have suggestions as to where I can donate clothes...?

that my children have outgrown??? Some are worn but good for playclothes, some stuff is in great shape and would be nice for someone who has little. I would prefer to donate where it can be used directly, not where it will be resold. Ideas?? Thank you!

  • The home we rent is currently in pre-forclosure. Is there any way that we can buy?

it from the bank? I will call and ask them, but I was hoping to know what I am talking about before going into it with them. Is there something specific to ask for? Does it need to be a short sale? Will we have to go through the landlord? Thank you for your help!

  • I would like to purchase a Venezuelan cookbook for a friend...?

but I am having a very hard time finding one. Any ideas where I could look that would have one dealing mostly in Venezuelan foods? Mostly I have found South America cookbooks which are fine, but exclusively Venezuelan would be wonderful- thank you!

  • Dental options for the unemployed?

My husband NEEDS to see a dentist but we cannot afford one. It seems like there are no programs that help with dental care when you are unemployed, does anyone know of something we can do to get his cavity fixed, he is in so much pain and it is infected. Thank you. (California)

  • Paying off car with Ford Credit but...?

wondering if there is room for negotiation of payoff amount. Our original loan was for 22,000 but due to late payments (we have been unemployed for what seems like forever) our interest is insane and we actually still owe 15,000 after paying 15,000.... does anyone know if there is something I can request so that they will review the account and maybe re-evaluate the payoff amount??? Thank you for your help!

  • Suburb Moms are ridiculous! How do I maintain...?

my dignity and happiness when I am confronted and facing daily issues with cliques of women who think they are freshmen in highschool?? I have always been polite and kind to everyone, I mind my own buisness, but there are a few mothers who decide to blackball you and then you are the subject of gossip that has a way of making its way back around. How do I put on a happy face, be the bigger person and be rid of this trivial crap??

  • I am so unhappy with my life and I feel stuck....?

I am a Mom. I am married. I am a full time student going for my RN. Live in a nice neighborhood, kids go to a great school. The flip side...my husband has been unemployed for a year, he thinks he will never be able to find a job doing what he did or making as much money as he did before, so he does not even look. (he was a construction super.) We can't talk about finances at all without him being defensive. No one knows about our problems even though we are days away from losing our house and utilities. I don't know what to do! Quit school since it is not paying the bills and get a low paying job and never be able to hold any respect for my husband again? I am just down, please don't be mean- just need some fresh opinions.
