  • Cepillar las alfombras?

Literally it means "to brush the rugs." But is that really what it means? Or is it a specific expression?

    Thanks for the help!

  • Ebook websites?

I've been looking for free ebook websites that have books for teens/popular books. I've been able to find a lot of sites that have classics, but I was wondering if non-classic ebook sites exist.

  • Some Questions about the 2nd Generation iPod nano (4GB)?

Ok, I have a couple questions - 10 points to the person who can answer most of them! Thanks ^^

    1. I've had my iPod for 1 month, and its already frozen 4 times...is this a problem? Is there anything I can do about it besides resetting it?

    2. In the Albums section, one of my Album has been split up so that it's listed twice on my iPod, and half the songs are in each. How can I merge them together under one album again?

    3. I have the suspicion that my battery is draining too quickly (I have 24 hr battery life). So, do games drain the battery quickly? Because its either the fact that I'm playing too many games, or that there's something wrong with the battery too.

    4. I have around 30 artists stored on my iPod, but when I clicked on the Artist section, only about 10-15 showed up. What could be the problem here?

    5. What kind of iPod case (cheap as possible, please) would you recommend?

    Thanks very much!

  • Question about Pre-Calculus?

This question could best be answered by any math teachers out there...How important a class is Pre-Calculus? What I mean is, is it necessary that people take the full, extensive pre-calculus class offered by my school in order to do well in math classes in following years? I have a friend who wants to take Pre-Calculus over the summer so that she can advance to Calculus next year, and I was just wondering what the Pros and Cons of this are. I'm not sure if skipping pre-Calculus to make room for more AP classes later is worth the risk that you won't learn the material well enough. Thanks

  • Can someone tell me if these are symptoms for an ear infection?

It basically feels like I have a cotton ball shoved down one ear - no, I don't physically feel anything fluffy. But my hearing abilities in that ear definitely feel a little muffled. And when I talk, my own voice sounds strange in my head, but I can hear most other sounds normally. And...I have a cold right now. So, is this just a cold symptom, or might I possibly have an ear infection? Thanks

  • What exercises actually make things worse?

Like, I've heard some people say that jogging is great for losing weight etc. etc., but I've also recently learned that jogging makes certain parts of your body (legs) bulkier. Which is true? And are there other exercises that will actually make you bulkier if you do them the wrong way (like what's the best way to do crunches? and what's the worst way?)

  • What do you think would happen if books were declared illegal, and burned?

Yes, you're probably thinking of Fahrenheit 451. If you haven't read that book, then just consider what would happen if no one was allowed to read, and books were feared and used as kindling. How would the world turn out?

  • What's the point of living if we're all just going to die anyway?

I personally do believe that life is very much worth living. But I know that some people think this way, so I just wanted to see what everybody else thought, and why.

  • What happens when a girl with depression stops taking her medication?

Her parents don't know that she has stopped taking her meds, and even if they did, they probably wouldn't get her more, because she seems "fine." But she isn't. She has hurt herself before, and I'm afraid it'll happen again. What danger signs should I look out for, and what should I do?

  • Twilight, anyone?

I just wanted to see who else has read, and loved, Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer. It's a FANTABULOUS book. Anyway, here's some questions for you guys:

Has anyone read the sequel, New Moon? How did you like it? What do you like best about the vampires that Stephenie has created in the Twilight world? Any other comments about the books?

**EXTRA** Book 3 of the series, Eclipse, is scheduled to be released late summer/early fall of 2007, and the 4th book, Breaking Dawn, is set for 2008!
