In the louvre there was a pizza with 'cheese, ham, mushroom and plugs' any idea what "plugs" could actually be? There wasn't a french translation next to it..

In a Wheatstone bridge circuit, with two resistors (one variable), and two strain gauges (one active one dummy), the voltage is set to zero (using the variable resistor).

I understand this much, but in a heated environment, the active strain gauge is attached to a piece of wood to see how much the resistance changes. Using the new reading on the voltmeter under a different temperature, how can you work out the resistance of that active gauge?

Using a standard DMM, and a component with standard resistance 350 ohms, would the multimeter be set to the 200 ohms setting or the 2k ohms setting?

When I open my internet browser (both firefox and ie do this) nothing comes up no matter what sites I try to access. Firefox comes up with a blank screen and internet explorer with ‘internet explorer cannot display the webpage’

Using the internet troubleshoot (via windows live messenger) it says there is a problem with ‘Key Ports’

Turning off the firewall temporarily does not do anything to help the situation, and both the wireless links on the start bar claim that it is connected and there is good signal.

I know the wireless router/modem works perfectly – my laptop connects without any problems.

What can I do?

What I would like to know how this would be done, as gravity must be introduced into the equation somewhere, and, to me, it is not obvious how I would do this.

Whilst trying to fit in a shower door that was too big, a couple of tiles got chrome on them. What would be the best way to remove the marks, noting that we have allready tried cif and mr muscle.

My other computer keeps getting messages from McAfee saying that it has found a PUP or virus, and this is 2 or 3 times a day. I am obviously thankful that McAfee has found them but I am worried that with all these going through there may be one that McAfee can’t actually stop. Occasionally it also says that McAfee cannot delete the virus/PUP. What would be the best thing to do?
