  • Dealing with pregnancy weight gain???

I am 24 weeks pregnant and am having difficulty dealing with the "weight gain".

I am actually 18 lb less now, than before I got pregnant.

But, the weight has moved from my butt and thighs, to my upper stomach.

My clothes don't fit, and I've been crying for 2 days.

    I don't look pregnant, I LOOK FAT.

I don't remember going through this with my first pregnancy, at all. But, I didn't hit my 6th month until November, then. So, I was already in winter clothes.

    What did you do?

  • Have you heard of a "welcoming party"??

I have a 7 year old son, and am pregnant with a girl in October.

We got rid of EVERYTHING and are starting over, completely.

I didn't think it was appropriate to have another shower, but my son asked about having a picnic / party later this summer to see friends/family, etc.

He called it an "expecting" party. But, hubby said he's heard of a "welcoming" party.

    Anyone?

  • I just had sex, how soon can I take a pregnancy test ????

Does anyone get sick of these questions?

It takes DAYS for the sperm to meet the egg, and implant into the woman.

When your PERIOD is LATE, TAKE A TEST.

You've seen the commercials for an early pregnancy test, but they only say 60% accurate!!! WAIT.

  • I think we've found it.............. sorta....?

My husband and I have finally decided on a name for our upcoming little girl.

But, we're stuck on the middle name a bit.

Lou was my mother's middle name. Louise is my mother in law's middle name. So, we're combing them, I think.

We want to name her Isabelle Louisa.

Hubby thinks Isabella Louise sounds better.

    What are your thoughts?

  • Father's Day Cook Out ideas?

We are hosting a Father's Day lunch at our house this year.

We would like to cook out, and were looking for some great recipes or ideas besides the plain old hamburger/hot dog.

Do anyone have any tried and GOOD food recipes?

  • Dr's office has many doctors and.....?

My OB/GYN office has many doctors in it's practice. Along with nurse practictioners/midwifes.

I go for my first appointment (8 weeks) on Tuesday, and they did tell me that I would have to see EVERY person there during the next 8 months.

With my first pregnancy, I had ONE doctor and I saw him the entire time, so he was familiar to me.

    Suggestions?

  • Early Pregnancy=Soft stools?

I'm only 7 weeks pregnant, and I haven't had a "regular" movement in weeks.

It seems to be very very soft.

    I am eating healthy.

And, I guess I'd rather have soft stools than be constipated, right?

  • Is Louis a good middle name?

My mother's middle name was Lou, and my mother in law's middle name is Louise.

I am 7 weeks pregnant, and would like to use Louis as a boy's middle name.

But, my husband and I like Jack or Nathan as a first name, and it just doesn't roll of the tongue nicely.

  • Pregnant = COLD?

I just found out I am 6 weeks pregnant.

I AM COLD ALL OF THE TIME.

I dress in layers, wear a jacket out, etc.

    I know it's 40 outside, but it's 70 in my house, and I can't get warm.

I have a blanket on all of the time.

    Is this bad blood circulation?

  • Knowing you are pregnant 1 day after ovulation?

My friend, every month, is upset because she is NOT pregnant.

I understand her pain, I have been trying for 6 years.

But, every month, during ovulation, I hear how often she's having sex. And then a few days later is excited because she's having pregnancy symptoms. And after monthly negative pregnancy tests, she'll get her period.

I can't take this. What can I say to make her stop?

  • Do you like to be called Mrs. So and So?

Now that my son is in school, all of the kids call me Mrs. So-and-so (really, that's not my last name, but you get the idea).

I am sooooooooo not used to it, yet.

I feel like my MOTHER IN LAW should be behind me.

  • Women- getting married and not changing your last name?

My brother in law and his wife have been married 5 years.

She has decided to not take his name when they got married.

They have signed my niece up for Kindergarten. Because of the difference of the last name of the mother and child, they think she's single/divorced.

Anyone have feedback on how this will effect this child?

  • Ideas for a 7 year old boy winter B-day party?

We've done the Chuck E Cheese and bowling parties.

It must be inside, and not at my house.
