I'm hoping to become pregnant within the coming year. However, my work does not offer short term disability insurance, and my husband's work does not carry the type of short term that I would need to be insured. Can anyone tell me where I can buy short term disability insurance from privately that will cover maternity disability?

A recent development in my The Sims 3 game. I'm 5 weeks into my game and today while playing, my Sims are acting like they cannot move anywhere, as if something is in their way when nothing is. Unfortunately I've already saved, so I cannot go back. I've saved, turned off the system, taken the game out of the console, but no luck. My Sims are off of work so I haven't missed work thank goodness! I enabled cheat mode, hoping there was a way to reset the Sims like on the computer codes, but to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this, and how can I fix it? Thank you!

My dog was on Iams when we adopted her. My husband and I decided that we wanted to put her on a food with less filler and is a higher quality food, so we tried switching to Chicken Soup For The Dog Lover's Soul. We did a gradual change like one should when changing dog food. She seems to like the food, but her stools are lighter than they should be (more along the lines of a brownish-yellow) and they are slightly softer than they were when she was on Iams. I thought at first it was maybe just an initial shock to her body and that it would eventually go to the way it used to be, but it's been a couple bags of food now and nothing's changing. Are these bad reactions, or is this a normal reaction to a higher quality food? If it is not normal, what would you recommend we switch her to that may not have this reaction?

My husband and I broke our lease in January because my student loans kicked in and we could not afford our apartment anymore. In order to break the lease, we had to pay an extra months rent and the fees according to the contract, and we did that. I'm just wondering if our credit was affected because we broke the lease, even though we did it by their terms.

We got our dog a year and a half ago at the shelter. We've tried taking her to dog parks, but we've kept her in the small dog area (she isn't small, she's ~33lbs) when it was empty so she could be around the other dogs but still have a barrier in case it didn't go well. She seemed really tense and would bark (not playfully) at other dogs who would come up to her. I would really like to be able to take her to the park so she can socialize and play with other dogs. What can I do to help her become more comfortable with other dogs?

If it matters, she's between 4-6 years old and they told us she's a boxer/shepherd mix (although we have a hard time believing that with how small she is).

Hi, We ad downloaded games from the Wii store and played them on our old TV. Now we have a Hitachi HDTV, and when we try to play these games on this TV, our TV says "Not Supported". I tried playing with the aspect ratio to see if it helped and it didn't. Does anyone know what we can do to get these games to work? Thank you so much!

I am a plus size girl and I am looking to buy my first corset. I would like to be able to go to an actual store to get measured up and talk to someone about them, but I don't know where to go. Victoria's Secret doesn't have what I am looking for, so please don't suggest there. I am looking more for the type of corsets that could possibly worn in the bedroom or in public without looking like a skank.

In our apartment, the kitchen, dining room and living room are all in one open space. There is a little space around our front door that we would leave white, along with the bottom of the breakfast bar. However, we are not sure if we should paint this space all one color, or if it should be two different colors for the two different areas. And if you have any suggestions for colors, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking into getting my federal student loans consolidated through https://loanconsolidation.ed.gov./ I had a Perkins loan, and I heard you shouldn't consolidate that. I also have Direct Stafford loans, but Subsidized and Unsubsidized. Am I able to consolidate these together, or will it mess my interest rates up or something and be bad for me in the long run?

Also, when I look at my loans online (I'm in my grace period still so I don't have the coupon books) I can't see my specific interest rate to apply. And I have no idea what my account # is from federal student aid. Can anyone tell me how to get these?

I was married while in school over a year ago. Now that I have graduated, I have finally legally changed my name. My question is, with regards to my student loans, who do I have to let know that I have changed my name? Do I have to call my school, and if so, what office(s)? Or for my federal loans, who do I call? I have already taken care of my private loans, but I have been unable to find who I need to contact about my federal loans.

My husband is a conditional permanent resident here in the USA. My question is, what has to happen if we decide to move to Canada if one or both of us has a better job opportunity there? What has to happen if we want to be able to work and live in either country? Thanks!

I have an old laptop and desktop tower I would like to either recycle or sell for parts. My issue though is my computers broke, and I have no idea of how to format it - I do not have the original disks to do so anyway. So what are my options to ensure that no one will be able to get my saved passwords, credit card information, etc.?

I'm looking into upgrading my phone. I got to play around with the BlackBerry 8900 from T-Mobile today and I really did like it. However, I'd have to pay $300, and I'd get $100 back, making it $200. They also had the 8320. I didn't get to play with that one - they had an unconnected model. I know the 8900 has a new OS, and I really liked the look of the black menu with neon-looking icons. I don't really need the GPS feature, just the WiFi, which both offer. So, which am I better off getting?

My husband and I adopted a 3-4 year old dog last October, and we love her to pieces! She's great dog, but sometimes when we aren't home she will get things and chew on them and we find them on the floor or somewhere where we didn't put the. For example she took my Scrubs season 2 DVDs off the shelf and chewed on it some. She's taken our bag of dice and scattered the dice all over the floor, but never eaten them. We don't know how to correct this behavior because she only does it when we aren't home. We try to put everything away so it isn't out when we leave. Sometime we forget, and other times she just manages to get into something (like the DVD and dice). We don't like the idea of locking her up in a cage while we are gone. So what can we do?

I have Time Warner cable as my internet provider. When we moved in I brought my wireless router from my dads. My internet is hooked up through the router. The router is connected to my computer, and everything works fine with that connection. However, there is no wireless connection available. My modem is a Motorola SB4200 Surfboard. My router is Linksys Wireless G Model WRT54G. My OS is Vista. Please help me figure out why this isn't working.

I think it's pretty obvious that the vast majority of NHL fans think that Bettman is a joke. I'm 99.5% sure that fans do not boo the commissioner of any other big sport (correct me if I am wrong). Everyone I've met that is a hockey fan agrees that the league is a joke - the hockey is wonderful, and I love it, but the way the rules are enforced (or the lack thereof) is absolutely ridiculous. Bettman is just wrong for the NHL. I know a lot of people who are better suited to run this league than he is.

So my question is, what can be done about it? Is there anything that we, as fans, can do about it? And please don't say stop watching/going to games - that simply isn't an option - I love the sport and my team too much :)
