  • Am I legally responsible for my biological Father?

My Parents were married when I was born but divorced when I was 3 and my Mum remarried some years later, however I was never adopted by my Step-Father.

When I turned 18 I found my biological Father and he told me that he had another Daughter of 3 but was not married to the Mother and they had separated. He also told me of some events that took place in my childhood and he decided that we should not see one another again as it may spoil his relationship with his other Daughter.

So my question is, when he dies am I responsible for him and his 'estate', I do not want anything from him but also do not want the responsibility of him due to past events and the choices he made.

His own Parents are deceased, he has 2 older Sisters and that is it apart from me and his younger Daughter.

As he is alive currently, are there papers I can sign to remove responsibility from myself? I am married now so my Husband holds next of kin status for me. I just want to break all ties and move on.

    Thanks in advance xx

  • What learning theory fits? (Teaching and Theorists)?

If a student chooses their own learning outcomes what is this called?

Also if a student is taught initially by an information session for baseline understanding followed by a demonstration of a practical skill and opportunity to participate, what learning theories does this fit in to?

  • Do I have to pay penalty after nursery failed to provide adequate service?

    Hi guys and girls!

My Son has until Friday been attending a private nursery. This nursery provides a drop and collection service for children who also attend the local authority nursery.

Last week my Son should have been at the authority nursery and I was made aware through a friend that the school had closed due to bad weather. As the private nursery were due to collect my Son that afternoon I rang them to ask the situation and was advised that he had been dropped at the school and they were also closing and would not be sending staff to collect the children they had left at the school and then advised me to arrange collection from the school.

I rang the school and was informed my son was not there as all the school children both nursery and primary had left the building.

After 30Min's of an engaged tone I finally got back in touch with the private nursery and was told that my Son was definitely not there. It was not until I told them I had been in contact with the school that the manager went out f her way to investigate and found my Son to be at their nursery all along.

I am very grateful my Son was never in danger however I am very annoyed at the fact they were unaware to his location.

I have since complained in writing and received both written and verbal apology with news of new policy's that have been put in place. This apology also was for taking my Son out in a vehicle without my permission and also losing his belongings on several occasions.

I am however still very disappointed with the service and do not want my Son to return to their care.

Yesterday I rang the nursery and explained that he would not be returning and that I would pay the fees due from the beginning of the month up until that day. I was then told that due to the contract I had signed when my Son started attending stating I would give 1 months notice I was going to have to pay what was due plus one months fees.

I am not disputing that I signed this however they have admitted being in the wrong and under the circumstances I feel I should not have to pay the forfeit.

Does anyone know where I stand on the matter? I am now going to have to find a new childcare provider who will also require payment and do not think it is fair that I should now be stuck with 2 lots of fees to pay for this month.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Are they making another series similar to 'I'd do anything' or How do you solve a problem like Maria'?

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber made 3 series; How do you solve a problem like Maria, Joseph and also I'd do anything.

I was just wondering if anyone knew if he was arranging another?

I have no intention of auditioning, (good luck if you do) I just really enjoy the show!

  • What should I put in my letter to quit short term lease?

    Hiya all!

I am currently in a private let (In Scotland) and the lease is due to expire in June 2009. Although, due to some pretty bum circumstances I need to move away from the area. I have been advised by my local council's housing dept to quit the lease giving them the legal 40 days notice. However, I do not want to upset them as they are sitting on £800 of mine in the way of a deposit. So, my question is what would be the nicest way to write the letter and also is there anything in perticular I should have in it?

    Thanks in advace guys!

I am a happy Mummy of one 2 year old boy, he is not perticularly spoiled and has cousins etc to play with and friends at nursery. I am a 1st year student nurse and my Husband works full time. • Paintbox hair colour removal!!!?

    Hi Guys!

Over the last six months I have had several slices of my hair several colours, It was bleeched blonde first and left for 3 months then I dyed over it woth a semi permenant paintbox colour called red corvet, I then wanted to go blue so dyed over the red with the blue (also paintbox) at this point it was a light navy but the roots would not change from purple even after puting the blue on twice. So last night I tried stripping it back with bleech with no luck, I now have nice white roots and dark purple hair!

Any advice to get it as light as possible? Hair is starting to feel really elastic so need to be gentle. Oh and hair dresser not an option to be honest as dont have that kind of money and have a hair dresser phobia!

    Thanks in advance!
