1 AnswerYahoo Profiles1 decade agoWhen someone goes away for a few months, what is the best way to make sure mail is forwarded?
My parents are (finally) going south for the winter. They will be gone for about 4 months. I'm sure that a method exists to make sure all mail is forwarded; but since they are doing this for the first time, they are concerned that bills may not be forwarded in a timely manner.
Any suggestions or details of previous experiences from "snow-birds" would be appreciated!

2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHas Sen Clinton ever read the US Constitution?
Today I heard Hill complaining that the "big oil" companies were paying a lower percentage in taxes than us folks that work for a living. Sooooo she said that as president she will change that (by raising their percentage, not lowering our rate).
The US Constitution gives the power of taxation to Congress, not the president.
Also, last I looked, the Senate was part of Congress, so if that "unfairness" bothers her so much, why hasn't she done something about it as a Senator???
17 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow and where do I report "Cash-in-lieu-of-stock" to the IRS?
Two companies I own stock in split their stocks, but some cash was left over. Each is less than $50. I looked at Pub 550, but that didn't seem to address this particular item...
Any and all help or guidance will be appreciated...
Thanks.

12 AnswersMovies1 decade agoAre rusty body mounts a serious/expensive problem?
I'm looking at a 1955 Chevy with a Chevy 350 engine. The body mounts according to the seller are rusty. (I misunderstood, its NOT motor mounts). Some pictures so rust right through and a lot of rust elsewhere under the car.
> Is this an expensive repair?
A ballpark estimate would be ---less than $500, less than $1,000, less than $2500 or unknown.
> Is that something that must be taken care immediately? Or can it be done over the winter (when it would be off the road anyway)...
Thanks for any advice....

6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhy do police spend hours "investigating" a traffic accident, on an precinct interstate highway?
But, in some cities the police will not even come to the scene of a break in or burglary in a residence? The victim has to go to the precinct to report the crime.

The news reports say that Imus is getting $20 million to settle his suit against CBS. He was suing CBS for $120 million. And he may be back on a NYC radio station.

No offense intended Detroiters, but your city does not have a good reputation as a safe place to visit. . . . .
