I recently saw that STEEL IS NO LONGER RESISTANT TO DARK AND GHOST.

Waaaait a second Gamefreak, didn't you invent the Steel type to balance out the Psychic, Ghost, and Dark types? Now our poor Metagrosses are weeping while it's bumped down to RU in Smogon's tiers. Skarmory, as NateWantsToBattle said, is no longer useful. FERROTHORN, now bumped down a few tiers, like Metagross. Those two serve as important counters to Giratina O and Giratina, Darkrai, and the other offensive Dark and Ghost types running around the OU and Uber tiers. Hydreigon is going to cry, after all we know it's quadded weak to Fairy. JIRACHI can no longer take a neutral hit from Tyranitar and Gengar, two common OU sights, Lucario is going to miss its 4x Dark weakness, and probably be OHKO by a strong Ghost type (Due to it's low bulk for OU)

Bisharp's just sitting there, "Hehe, sucks to be a Steel type who isn't resistant to Dark and Ghost."

Scizor can no longer (Safely) counter Uber threats, and Bronzong can't wall anymore in UU.

Those are just the mainly used Steel types. Now, Steel's become another Poison, being essentially somewhat useless.

I happen to like the starter evos, but now my Honedge is not going to be as awesome as I wanted it to be... *Cries*

I feel really bad for the Steel types. They're going to struggle in the X and Y metagames, and the Ghost type will be back where it was again, just like in Gen 1... *Insert Gengar grin here*

Guess my Stealth Rockers are going to be not Steel. Anyone else feel this way about the new leaks?

Okay... I have a Feebas with Bold nature. Since Milotic's special defense is through the roof (Literally) Would it be a better idea to go with Bold over Modest?

Pokemon X and Y- My predictions.

They may feel rushed, like Black and White1, but also being fun at the same time. Poison and Steel could become more offensive, due to them having an advantage over Fairy. Also, Dragon types will be toned down, because Fairy are immune to them, and super effective. (THANK YOU ARCEUS OF NINTENDO, DRAGONS WERE OP)

Also, X and Y will be bait for genwunners. That's what I think. Fairy could become a boon defensively, or offensively, due to them having three type advantages.

I also predict that, like the REGIS of R/S/E and IONS or B/W, that Kalos will have its own three legends, besides the two main ones, Yvetal and Xerneas.

Pokemon Amie will add more fun to Pokemon, since nothing like this has ever hit the games before. Nintendo probably looked at Nintendogs and cats and thought, "Why not Pokemonize it?"

While I'm here, I'll list my top 5 hopes for X and Y. You should too!

1: (Since we're not limeted to up, down, right and left anymore, that's not number one hope now.)

THE ABILITY TO TRANSFER POKEMON FROM B/W. I have tons of Pokemon on B/W that are all legit and raised from level one, and I'd hate to see them go away in neglect.

2: An increase of good Ice types. The only good ones we have of now (Bar legends) are Cloyster, Weavile, Froslass, and Mamoswine.

3: A smash of all the evil teams and main trainers from past games. So, this would be like Red and Blue \ with Team Rocket, and Lyra and the other kid with from Johto, May and the other kid from R/S/E and Teams Magma and Aqua, Lucas and Dawn from DPP and Team Galactic, and Team Plasma and White 1, Black 1, and Black 2 and White 2.

So, all the main trainers (Red, Blue, Lyra, Johto Kid, May, Hoenn Kid, Lucas, Dawn, White, Black, and White 2 and Black 2 ) to become main characters and fight against all the evil orginizations with your character from XY. (Including thje Kalos one)

3-#2: (Insert lol here)

THE ABILITY TO VISIT OTHER REGIONS AS YOU PROGRESS THROUGH THE GAME (Who doesn't want this? Oh yeah, GENWUNNERS)

4: The ability to get "Involved with people, just like Fire Emblem. Only this time, I'd be better because it's Pokemon (Although Fire Emblem is awesome as well)

5: The ability to catch older gen's Pokemon right from the start.

Here's what I'm planning on doing:

Floatzel and Volcarona are sent out first. Volcarona uses Rage Powder to draw moves to itself, while Floatzel sets up Agility and Bulk Up (IN THAT ORDER)

Then when Volcarona gets KOed, I put Alakazam in its place. Ursaring will take Floatzel's place.

Bulk Up is optional. If I find that Volcarona gets OHKOed, (Or One Turn KOed with a Focus Sash) one Agility is all I need for Ursaring to sweep the team with its Guts-boosted -Facade. (It's 315 power, after adding Guts, STAB, and Facade)

When I send out Ursaring and Alakazam, Floatzel's purpose is done.

And, Alakazam is only there to sweep whatever Ursaring's Guts-Boosted-Facade can't. (Steel, Ghost, really REALLY bulky physical walls, etc.)

The Light Screen is to patch up Ursaring's exposed Special Defesne if Floatzel maganges to get in a Bulk Up. Then it's like having Dual Screens for Ursaring.

How is this strategy? Is it any good? (We don't play with tiers by the way)

And if I shouldn't be using Light Screen on Volcarona, what should I be using?

Browsing through Smogon, I found that Sheer Force has interesting sideeffects.

So, Sheer Force WILL NOT recieve Life Orb recoil as long as the move it used has a secondary effect?

(Example: Kingler is holding a Life Ob and it uses Rock Slide. The flinch rate is removed, the base power becomes 99.75, and Life Orb recoil is removed? IS that right?)

It's confusing. Sometimes I wish I stayed on the shallow end of Pokemon, not involving myself in the confusing parts. XD

And, in Join Avenue, you can find an Odd Keystone. What purpose does it have other to clutter your bag? You can't revive it, I don't think, because you'd need the stone tower from Sinnoh and the Underground to do that. I checked on Serebii, and it doesn't appear to have any purpose in BW2 (The game I'm playing)

One last question.

Why do you suppose Ash usually doesn't evolve his Pokemon? I mean, Oshawott, Snivy, Scraggy, Buizel, Gible, Corphish, Totodile, Bulbasaur, Squirtle. It's not like they aren't high enough level... OShawott uses Hydro Pump, Snivy uses Leaf Storm, Gible uses Dragon Meteor, you get what I'm saying.

My Pokemon buddy Infernape has a Quiet nature, which is no good for competetive battling.

I'm going to raise a new one with Thunderpunch, Overheat, Close Combat, and U-Turn.

What nature should it be? I'm planning on using Overheat while the opponent sets up a screen or whatever, then using Close Combat if I can, then switching out with U-Turn to remove the lowered special attack, and defenses. I would be guessing you'd say raised speed, but I was thinking:

Lonely or Naughty (For a harder htiing Close Combat)

Or the two natures that boost special attack and lower defenses

I don't know, what do you think>? It's on a Hail team, but should I convert it to a sun team? A very helpful Zekrom convinced me to replace Infernape.

I want to know if these Sunny Day and Hail teams are any good. (they aren't type balanced to be one type, but they have a various mix, even in the hail team. There's an Infernape. :D)

I'm getting Y, because I don't want an ION faliure from the Unova region. (Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion)

And, Y might have better exclusive Pokemon. Diamond and Pearl, did. Pearl had the better exclusive Pokemon, and it was always featured on the right. So is Y. Also, red is one of my favorite colors.

Another question, what do you wanna look like? Now character customization is confirmed, whaddya wanna look like? I want a pair of sunglassses, a Pokemon knit cap, a purple shirt with Snivy on it, and black shorts/pants with a silver chain on the right side.

The sunglasses are for the sole purpose of having my Trainer Card say, "Deal with it"

Another thing? If you'd read my Pokemon story, that'd be amazing. and leave a comment.

Aslo, please leave a VALID reason for getting X or Y, not just "Oh, X sucks, I want Y" Or "Why would I get a crappy bird like Y?" Not like that. Provide valid info like I did.

Please read this all. I made it as un-brick as I could.

Now, I'm not bashing them, but I feel that well... It's just not Pokemon, anymore. I mean, it is, but it doesn't feel like the Pokemon we had.

First, character customization is amazing. No longer do we have to wear the giant red hats of Diamond, or the ridiculous hairstyles of RSE. We can wear whatever we want, and be animated in it! I really like this fact!

However....

This detail will make people feel that Pokemon is straying away from its original formula, a game for all, and not obsessing over the designs. It's not huge, but I noticed it.

Second, the game names. What, did Nintendo run out of stones and colors? Instead, we had to name the games after chromosomes. Might as well call them Pokemon Male and Female. It could be called Pokemon Earth or Pokemon Heavens, (For Pokemon that are based around Dark/Psychic, and Ground) or Pokemon Jasper, or Pokmeon Amethyst. (Going back to the stone era of gen 4)

Does anyone else fell this way?

Third, did anyone notice that all the regions had the long o sound? KantO, JohtO, HOenn, SinnOH, UnOva, and then Kall-os. It may differ depending on how you proniunce it (U-NO-va, U-nova, U-no-va. Kal-OS, Kall-os.) Not huge, but there to be worrysome.

Fourth, I noticed that with the intro with BW, Nintendo started animating Pokemon... Great, right? Not if they were more focused on animating and not as focused on story and depth. I noticed that this was the case with BW/BW2. I like the animations, but the lack of moving story is just weird. Yes, the fact that BW2 carried the sotry over, which was cool, but it didn't do it too well. I'd rather have an amazing story and no animated Pokemon then a lack of story, and lots of animation. If I see a great story on XY, I'll keep hoping for great animations.

Does anyone else feel like this? I'm geuinely worried. Pokemon won't be the same if they focus more on the less important things, and scrap the important things:

1: Important/funny characters

2: Moving and good story

3: No morre annoying rivals like Silver (Not huge jk) XD

And finally...

4: Creative region design and lots of postgame content.

You may think different, and if you do, I want to know what you think about all this hype that XY is generating.

Mine was Barry's from Pokemon DPP.

Silver was a derp, in every way possible. (I had HG before I pawned it) Music just made me gag when I listened to it. Same when he started talking.

Red and Blue were cool, but the beat just seemed off. Cool overall.

I guess Hoenn's was decent, couldv'e been better. Didn't exactly seem to fit.

Cheren and Bianca is my second favorite, the music fits their personalities.

In Pokemon White and Black2, is it really true that after you battle Colress a certain number of times, you get a mutilated ghost of him to battle? I've tried it a couple times, but nothing seems to happen. I've battled him probably 10 times now? No more then 10.
