I'm curious as to what sort of questions were asked when people were being recruited to be soldiers for ww1. Also, did people have to recruit elsewhere to be in the cavalry?

okay, so in this story, there's one boy, the main characters older brother, he's nineteen, seems mentally older than he is, because he is under more stress and strain than most nineteen year olds, he has blonde(ish) hair and dark blue eyes. He wants to be a detective and go to uni, but all hopes of that are crushed when something happened, he is very protective of his little sister but seems distant at times. I was thinking something a little sophisticated but not too much, Peter maybe or something like that?

Also, the main characters best friend, 15 year old boy, brown eyes and black hair, reckless grin, quite handsome, but a bit full of himself at times, needs bringing back down to earth occasionally. Maybe something cool or a bit different.

Also, just curious, my friend says she likes the name Ezra. What do you think wierd or what?

so there's a book that i'm writing and when the main character visits a certain area, most of the people are quite quirky and excentric, so i needed some names for some of the people there, just some quirky or excentric names. Thanks.

I sat patiently in class, the normal idiots were prancing about whilst the teachers head was turned, throwing paper around and whispering to each other. I hated fridays, it just meant two days of getting used to being at home before having to come back to the dump they call a school.

At last, the bell rang. I stood up and threw my worksheet in the bin on the way out, I wouldnt need it anymore, it was the last week of term next week, no more school for six weeks. I walked to my locker, in no rush, unlike the other students, charging about the corridors like lunatics, itching to be the first person out, off the schoolgrounds.

I reached my locker as everyone else started for the main doors. Taking my time, I pulled my satchel from the back of my locker and put my diary and pencil case in it, checked my phone and made off for the door.

“Grace Ashton.” Mr Kippler said from beside me.

“Yes?” I groaned, turning myself around to face him.

“Your mother called, says she will not be arriving home until seven tonight, she also says Chris will not be home until midnight at the latest, as he is in a meeting.” Mr Kippler read from a note.

“Ok, thank you sir.” I said, walking off towards the door.

“Grace! Be careful, your mother said!” Mr Kippler yelled.

I blushed bright red, my cheeks burned.

Groups of people around me barked with laughter.

“Grace, does your mother like never let you out of the house alone!” Kevin jeered.

My cheeks burned more.

“Does your mummy hold your hand?” Chelsi cackled.

I turned around and left them, I sat at a chair near the main desk and sat there until I was sure they had all gone. Then I got up and walked out.

As I was walking I became engulfed by my thaughts, o many things to do and next year would be my last year of sixth form, my last year as a student, a child. I would have to fend for myself, I wouldnt have mum and Chris – her boyfriend – to look after me and sort out things like money, to be honest I was scared, terrified of the real world.

“OW!” I yelled, as I tripped up and fell down the two stairs I had left to walk down, my books went everywhere.

“Ooh! No!” I moaned, it would take forever to pick up all the paper scattered on the floor.

I did it anyway though, and probably missed my bus whilst doing it. I groaned as I realized I would have to walk home.

Whilst walking down the path I saw a figure, ahead of me. He looked a little lost and I saw a little piece of paper, blowing around by my feet, I picked it up and read it.

Dear Mr Anthony Parker,

It has come to our attention that you are wishing to join our committee. We hope you understand this means a serious lifestyle change, you shall have to leave behind any other persons you may live with, unless it is their wish to join us too, also you may no longer fraternize with humans! That is an absolute law!

“Thats mine!” A voice, cold and hard as ice but with a slightly softer side to it, said.

I looked up and saw the boy stood next to me, before I could say anything he snatched the letter out of my hand.

I was about to say something sarcastic or mean but his face got in the way.

He was beautiful, inhumanely beautiful.

He had short ruffled dark ivory coloured hair, with fair highlights, one piece curled over his forehead. His eyes were iron grey, they looked to have some pain or mysterious story behind them, but now was obviously not the time he wanted to tell it. He wore a light blue shirt and some faded jeans, with some black shiny shoes. His flawless skin was extremely pale, chalk white almost, but it had a sort of ghostly complexion.

He was gorgeous.

“Its rude to snatch.” I finally said, after managing to close my gawping mouth.

He smirked.

“Not if its your own things, private things.” He said, his voice was much softer now, he spoke in away where every word was fully pronounced, but still sounded as beautiful as his looks.

“Still... Anthony!” I smirked.

His face suddenly flashed with anger and a hint of worry.

“How much did you see of that?” He demanded, voice ice cold once more.

“Not a lot, why? Hang on! You are not allowed to fraternize with humans! Thats where I got up to! Why?” I asked, I imagined it was a silly joke letter from a mate.

“Its none of your buiseness!” He snapped.

“Grace, thats my name.” I murmured.

“Thats... nice.” He sighed, as if it was hard for him to pay me a compliment.

“I wanna look at your letter!” I moaned.

He shook his head and put the hand with the letter in at my eye level.

“You have no idea how important this letter is!” He snarled.

I pinched it from his hand and leaped in success.

“GIVE IT BACK!” He roared, his face full of anger and hate, also hurt.

I handed it back, my hand – which was trembling with fear- brushed aghainst his.

I shivered.

He was stone cold, like ice or something.

“What the hell?” I whispered.

He turned around to leave.

“Dont go.” I whispered.

I really needed a friend.

“Im sorry, I need to.” He whispered

Ok, so i said im writing like a ghost/ human story where a human girl falls in love with a ghost. I need names for them, i will provide some descriptions - from the protagonists POV.

Ok, so i think it will be about a girl who is nearing the end of high school and worrying about life out of school, she is plain and gets good grades, but keeps under the radar, nobody speaks to her really, until one day she sees a boy, he is like her dream guy but dissapears (Hes a ghost.) Anyway, later on they fall in love and she realizes that to be with him, she has to die. Basically the book is about her deciding whether her love for him is strong enough to kill herself. I need names for the main girl and guy and some names for the book.

Some are only half vampires and some are full, full bloods they're called. The others like my best friends Alan and Simmi, are half bloods, they get picked on a lot because of it but they're just like us really. They'll be full bloods eventually, just they're taking longer than normal to become a full vampire.

At this school we learn how to control our gifts, like how to run really fast and sense things other people cant. Also we have special classes on how to drink blood the safer way.

Most of the full bloods take advantage of that class and drink too much blood, its like they get drunk on it.

Me, Simmi, Alexa and Francis were sitting on our beds chatting. ”Leonardo called me a Half blood today and said I have no hope for becoming a true vampire ever!“ Simmi sobbed on Francis's sleeve. ”Dont fret Simmi, he's so stupid! Believe me, he'll never graduate!“ I said softly. Alexa looked at me and shook her head, her long golden curls flying. ”Dont be stupid Demi, He's one of the smartest in the school!“ the high Vampire council will be sure to send him off to fight for us. If not he'll have no problem getting a job and fending for himself!“ Alexa said in a matter of fact way. Simmi looked up at Alexa and who had to turn away, thinking about what she said.

I walked up to the window and looked outside, there was a huge storm on the way. The wind was blowing wildly and the thunder and lightning had just started. ”Hey, mabye lessons will be cancelled tomorrow! We cant get to the Blood building in this wheather!“ Francis said. I nodded. ”Seeya girls i'm off to go brush my teeth.“ I said and walked out down the corridor to the bathrooms.”Hey! Demi, quick come here!“ Brandon hissed. I turned to look and saw him and Shaun still in their jeans and school shirts. I sighed and walked over. ”Hey! Guess what we just heard!“ Shaun whispered. ”What?“ I asked, bored already. ”We overheard Madame Valentina and Mr Storm talking about the war finally starting! Its not safe anywhere anymore!“ Brandon panted. I gasped, the war between the good Vampires and the bad has finally broken out! Rumour have been spreaded that it would happen soon but I didnt think it would happen so soon. The bad Vampires are bloodthirsty creatures who kill at every chance they get! They wish to rule the world and get all vampires to kill and live like they do.

On the other hand, I was pleased that my mentor Madame Valentina was here! She turned me into a vampire after she sensed that I was in danger and has mentored me ever since. Mr Victor Storm is her husband he is a very powerful vampire, he has been in all the great wars and has many battle scars to prove it. He mentored my most loyal and my best friend ever Callum. I met callum when Madam Valentina first took me with her. Good vampires like these two are trying to save us from the other evil vampires.

”We shouldnt be evesdropping hhm Boys?“ a voice from behind me said. I turned around and saw Victor stood, arms folded and his black cloack around him. His large black boots looking worn and he looked quite tired himself. ”Good Evening Demi, how have you been?“ he asked politely even though you could tell he didnt want to ask. ”Not bad Victor though I heard the war has broke out?“ I said calmly. Brandon and Shaun walked off, scared by Victor. ”Unfortunately so, we need to recruit but nearly nobody here is ready to fight in battle.“ he said with a frown on his pale face. He had a new scar right across his cheek.

”Demi, hello how have you been?“ Valentina asked coming up behind Victor, pretty as ever. She still had beutiful long brunette curls and she still looked like a model. ”She knows Valentina.“ Victor sighed. Valentina looked at me, her emerald green eyes fixed. ”Callum's been recruited.“ she said. ”No! You cant send him into war! He's only seventeen!“ I hissed. ”Im his mentor, I can recruit him for anything I like.“ Victor sighed I looked at Valentina. ”I'm signing up too.“ I say quickly. Victor walks off to the boys dormitory to tell Callum groaning. ”If you want to get killed or injured or worse than feel free.“ Valentina said in a mean voice.”I dont care, i'm not letting Callum fight alone!“ I replied.

Valentina sighs and with a flash of light she had disappeared. I had been taught how to do this and me and Callum were the only ones in our school who could travel like this, it was running at such a speed that you cause a bubble of light to form around you.
