Christians, why do you pick and chose from the bible?
I know that the bible is not to be taken literally, but most Christians believe that there is a truth it a meaning behind everything in the bible. But don't you realize you're picking and choosing? Why is it that you're so against gay marriage, which is only mentioned as wrong in the Old Testament, but when the Old Testament says slavery is ok and it also says so in the New Testament, you disagree and say say slavery is wrong? Why are you forming the bible to fit your beliefs?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoAny atheists who converted to religion? Why?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoDo some Christians honestly believe.....?
....that atheists "actually do believe in God they just want to sin"? This would be like me saying that there's an alligator right next to me that wants to eat me but so it doesn't, I'm going to stop believing in it. That doesn't even make sense. In my theology class (I am forced to go to catholic school even as an atheist) my theology teacher was incorrectly informing all of her students that atheism is a "religion" and then a girl in my class raised her hand and said "atheists are stupid because they really do believe in God cuz when they said I don't believe in god they're acknowledging his presence!" Do you guys really believe this? Just let me clarify, a religion is a set of beliefs celebrated and worshiped by a gathering of people. Atheism is the disbelief in all spiritual aspects, so what would make it a religion to you? Also, when we say we don't believe in "God" we aren't somehow saying we really do believe in God we just won't admit we're saying we don't believe in the character from that book called the bible named God that apparently creating everything in 7 days. Is everything cleared up now?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoChristians, do you realize that you're atheists too?
Christians seem to think that atheism only refers to the disbelief in the God they believe in. However, atheism is actually the disbelief in all gods. Ask yourself this, what do you is illogical about Hinduism? Reincarnation? The belief in more than one God? Now how about this. Do you believe that Lord Vishnu exsists? If you said no, you are now an atheist in a Hindus eyes. You don't believe in one of their main gods, making you an atheists. You Christians are atheists to 999,999 gods, but you believe in one. The people you call atheists and say are satans minions and all of that, we just don't believe in 1,000,000 gods. So really, we aren't all that different.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoHow can anyone honestly believe their religion is the only correct one....?
....when there are thousands of different religions including different sects & everything?
21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoI ordered something from sephora on Sunday in store and they said it will be at my house in 3 days...?

2 AnswersOther - Local Businesses6 years agoWhy do Christians use the argument "you can't disprove god" as a valid argument for his existence?
How does this even make sense? You can't prove Santa doesn't exist either but it should be common sense that he doesn't just like god

Take a look for yourself and give your opinion on this - all belief systems welcome
1 AnswerAbuse and Spam6 years agoDo Christians honestly believe people CHOOSE whether or not they are gay and that being gay is sinful?
Just seems absolutely absurd to me especially since Christians claim they want equality for all (unless you're gay or a woman, of course)
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoCan a scientist also be a creationist? If you say yes, how?
8 AnswersAnthropology6 years agoChristians, do not realize that you're contradicting yourselves?
A common Christian argument is that something can't come from nothing & therefore everything needs a creator which is where God comes in. If you say everything needs a creator, then who created God? If you say no one, he was always there, then that would be contradicting everything you just tried to argue.
53 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoWhat do Christians mean when they say proof of God is in nature?
i just don't see how some plants and animals and stuff show proof of a creator/supreme being in any way
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agowhy do Christians use Jesus's so called "miracles" and modern day "miracles" as evidence that God created everything?
basically your evidence for God creating things is a bunch of magic tricks? I don't get that haha. Just because I can do a card trick doesn't mean I created the world. How is that any different?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians and atheists - could God be dark energy?
if you don't know what that is please look it up before answering. It's basically this invisible force that holds the whole universe together. It is everywhere but also nowhere all at once. Could this be "God" ? (Referring to a creator I believe in that possibility not the God of the bible)
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoHow is a catholic school to address an atheist student?
Referring to an atheist student whose parents are catholic and force them to attend. How should the school address this? Can they really force the student to attend mass, pray at the beginning of classes, and also fully participate and agree with what is said in theology/religion classes? Isn't this against freedom of religion? Also, does the school have a right to punish atheists students for not doing the previously stated things?
