will i lose them after the baby's born?
my boobs went from a small a to a nice b when i got pregnant. how long will they stay this size after the baby is born? i've gotten used to them and it will be the only thing about being pregnant that i will miss. :-)
10 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agopregnant: how much fetal movement is normal?
i am 27 1/2 weeks. the little guy moves all the time and his movements feel very strong. they make me uncomfortable and usually are painful. my husband says junior is training for a black belt, and at this point, i think he's right. i can deal with it, i just want to be sure that he's okay in there.
one of my girl friends is about 30 weeks and she says she can barely feel hers move.
i know movement is a good sign, but is there such a thing as too much? sometimes it feels like he is trying to kick his way through my abdomen--always the right side. his movements are clearly visible even across the room, and make my stomach look like i've been infested with some alien larvae or something that is swarming in there.
should i be concerned that something is wrong or is he just a very active baby?
btw: all prenatal checkups and ultrasounds have come back normal and doctor says everything looks good. i plan to ask her this question at my next appointment on tuesday.
5 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoto circumcise or not to circumcise?
i found out we're having a boy, and the question of circumcision has come up.
my husband thinks we should not have it done so when the little guy grows up, he can make the decision for himself. (for the record, my husband is not circumcised).
up to this point, i never really thought about it one way or the other. my opinion at this point: why subject my tiny baby to a medically unnecessary procedure?
my question is this: if you were not circumcised as a baby, were you glad your parents left the choice up to you? or do you wish they'd had you circumcised?
18 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agohave you ever met anyone named jalisco?
it is the name of a state in mexico and means "sandy plains" in nahuatl (an aztec language). it is pronounced ha-lees'-co (more or less).
what do you think of it for a boy's name? it makes me think of tobasco. i don't know whether i like it or not...but my husband likes it (he is from mexico).
3 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoshould i be worried yet?
my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant for the last 6 months. we aren't using any programs or ttc methods -- we just have a lot of sex. i don't want to turn it into a crazy thing where sex becomes work, like a lot of people seem to do when they start trying.
my period is very regular, so my ovulation is pretty easy to track.
but it's been six months of unprotected sex of the kind that would result in egg and sperm becoming acquainted.
should i be concerned? is it time to see a doctor or should we give it more time? i'm not in a hurry to get pregnant, but we do want to have children.
1 AnswerTrying to Conceive1 decade agocan you help a girl out?
my husband is sick. he actually stayed home today. it's not life-threatening, but he's got to be feeling miserable, because he NEVER calls in sick.
i want to stop and get him a little something special to cheer him up on my way home.
any ideas?
it has to be easy to find and not too expensive and not too time-consuming.
ps: i do not cook so it should not involve cooking.
6 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agocan you tell me what my husband is thinking (no esp necessary).?
i have been with my husband for 5 years, married for almost 2 years. i'm 5'6", 115lbs. this question has been bothering me for a long time.
my husband has always been crazy about my a$$ and legs, but it never fails: when i wear my sexy jeans he's like "eh, nice." but when i wear yoga pants or pajama pants, or like today when i came home with my baggy pants from my martial arts class, he practically has an apoplectic fit and can't keep his hands off. i feel like an unattractive giant white marshmallow in those pants, but apparently he doesn't think so.
is this normal for guys to be turned on by women in shleppy, baggy, shapeless clothes? because this seems contrary to what popular culture tells women. i'm just curious.
16 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoneed help getting a song out of my head.?
the lyrics are stuck in my head "girl can't help it the girl can't help it"
i actually kind of like how it sounds, but not knowing what it is is driving me crazy.
plays on pop radio--has kind of a electronic sound.
who sings it and what's the name of it?
thanks!!!
1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agohow do you know you're ready for kids?
my husband and i have been together for 5 years, married for 1 1/2. we both want children. he's 30, i'm 28. he has 10 siblings; i have 6. both of our families keep asking when we're going to have kids.
we both have demanding careers and work way too much.
he's ready.
i'm not so sure.
i don't dislike kids. i'm pretty good with kids. i don't ooh and ah over babies, but i marvel at them. i've always planned on having them, at some point. in the future.
we've talked about this. we both want three kids. my husband is willing to wait. he would wait a thousand years for me, i think. he's not pressuring me at all. but i know he wants children. he'll be an amazing dad. he's so good with his nieces and nephews.
i don't want to be old when i have kids--i don't want people confusing me for their grandma. i just don't know if i'm ready now. but when will i be ready? how will i know? when is a good time?
2 AnswersFamily1 decade agoif you're married, do you refer to your husband as ...?
"my hubby"?
i personally cannot stand that word. i'm not sure why. hubby. sounds like chubby or cubby. ew.
it gets on my nerves when other women call their husbands "hubby" or when people say "your hubby." [shivers].
9 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agowhen somebody says "you're a typical aquarius," what do they mean?
i don't know much about horoscopes/zodiac signs, but the other day, a client said "you're a typical aquarius, so i trust you."

hi. i have very long, very straight hair. it's all the way to my derierre now. i want to cut it (i'll be donating it to locks of love).
my hair doesn't hold a curl well and is wayward and non compliant. it's also very thick and heavy.
i need a style that is easy to care for and looks professional and sleek. i'm open to almost any suggestions (except coloring. i don't color my hair).
here's a recent photo with it pulled back. what would look nice with my face and body.

don't worry, i'm not suicidal. i'm just curious.
7 AnswersMental Health1 decade agodoes anyone have optical migraines?
this morning, i experienced a line of bright flashing colors before my eyes, and then almost total vision loss in my left eye. this happened while i was driving. fortunately, i was able to stop and park safely.
this has never happened to me before.
i went to a eye doctor who said i had suffered an optical migraine.
i had no pain whatsoever and have never suffered a severe migraine (although i have had a lot of headaches). the doctor told me i may never have another one, or that it may only occur rarely.
here's my question: i spend a lot of time commuting and don't want to have an accident. any advice for identifying the onset or treating optical migraines or avoiding them altogether?
thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Diseases1 decade agowhat do i say to my mom?
my mom's sister is dying of liver cancer. she is not expected to make it through today.
i don't know what to say to my mom to comfort her. normally, i'm very good with words (i make a living with my words). but i am completely blank now. everything i think of sounds cheezy and trite.
i know you can't make someone feel better, but i just want my mom to know i'm here for her.
11 AnswersFamily1 decade agohave you tried covergirl's lash blast mascara?
i tried it and hated it. the applicator is awkward and the bristles just clump my lashes.
if you've tried it, do you like it? and if yes, what do you do to avoid clumps and globs of mascara. i bought it, and don't want to just throw it away.
i accidently threw away the receipt, so i don't know if cover girl would refund my money.
