  • Does Hypertension affects Air Force Officer registration?

The cardiologist as a preventive measure make me take one Avapro 150mg every night.

All my vitals are in perfect state, after many tests the cardiologist told that I can do whatever I want without problems.

But I fear that this will affect my request to join the Air Force as an Officer.

  • Will a mortgage loan that I want to keep will affect my application process for Air Force Officer?

Currently I own an apartment that pays $886 including maintenance. Something like that is almost impossible to obtain in where I live. Because mostly you end up paying 1,500 at least monthly in this area.

I will probably end up renting it.

I'm thinking in applying to Air Force Officer, I got all the requirements but I don't know if that mortgage could be an issue in the application process.

  • Air Force Officer O-1, how demanding it is for someone that never had been in the military?

I'm a 28 years old guy with a BS in Computer Engineering and I was thinking in joining the Air Force. I tried to enter as an enlisted but my age doesn't allow me to do it.

Many people has told me that joining as a AF O-1 is very risky because they have a lot of responsibilities and mistakes are not forgiven. They can be kicked out easily.

As I said I don't have any experience in the military and I know it will be very hard to be so high for a new comer.

Can any active officer give me some advices and suggestions?

It is really that hard becoming an AF Officer?

Should I risk my professional career to become a Officer?

    Thanks.
