I know I can buy stock directly from companies without a broker but I am interested in commodities and futures. Does anyone know how to buy a futures contract without he services of a broker??

I know that "The innocence of Muslims" is offensive and I get why. It is really no different than the offensiveness of parodies of Christ.... and yes it has gotten THAT violent in the past. But would someone please answer the three main charges.
1) That Islam is a Cult religion formed in similar fashion to the LDS by Joseph Smith.
2) In support of "1" that Mohamed by virtue of "divine" status was entitled to break the idict of Islam.
3)That Mohamed was an uneducated bastard child.
Please, I do not want hate tainted reactionary responses. I would prefer that muslims and muslims alone provide the answers.

Please I mean no offense but I need to have my ignorance set straight. I have done some paltry research into the reasons Muslim Women are commanded to wear the Niqab and the best I can come up with is that we men....upon seeing a beautiful woman... just can't keep our penises in our pants.Is it that simple?
If so then why does it not fall on the men to remain chaste, the effect of a nice set of boobs not withstandng.

Ok so the gravitional attraction between two objects is F=mMG/r^2 Got to thinking. WHat happens if you are only considering one object. pluging a 0 into the M you get 0. So this equation tells me nothing when trying to find the gravitional "force" of a single object. What is the Mathematical description of the gravitational distortion of a single object? Ok its a stupid question but I am still going to ask it.
If I run my car without oil I will sieze a piston and destroy the engine. That got me thinking. Has anyone heard of an overheated piston seizing after pumping several magazines through the reciever? It makes sense that it would friction an metal are seldom friends.

The Problem is 6x^2+19X-36
The real problem is that I can not use a calculator so quad formula is out of the question. Tried breaking down the equation but the roots do not appear to be whole numbers. So on to a new tactic.
For any equation Ax^2+Bx+C
If roots exist, the roots are (ax+c) (bx+d)
then abx^2+adx+bcx+ad = Ax^2+Bx+C
then ab=A
ad+bc=B
dc=C
Subing the values of the equation I get
ab=6
ad+bc=19
cd=-36
Now I have to solve 3 equations with 4 unknowns
So I can put "a" in terms of b a= 6/b
and I can put d in terms of c d= -(36/c)
Now the middle equation becomes (6/b)(-36/c)+bc=19
Becomes -216/bc+bc=19
Now I am at a road block. Can anyone help?

Using ½ of a quarter sphere, I start with the area of a polar right triangle with sides 2r and arc length S. Thus the base is RcosÕ and the height is RsinÕ.
Then the area of the polar triangle is ½RsinÕRcosÕ.
Factoring out ½R^2 leaves sinÕcosÕ
.
sinÕcosÕ = ½sin2Õ
This yields ¼R^2sin2Õ
Multiplied by ½Π yields ⅛ΠR^2sin2Õ.
Integrating with respect to R gives the volume of ⅛ sphere as
(1/24)ΠR^3(sin2Õ)
Times 8 to yield the volume of the sphere gives me
⅓ΠR^3sin2Õ.
Close but no cigar. What am I missing?

Proving volme of a sphere I ran into a problem. If I take the circumference of a circle and spin it 2Π, i get 2ΠR*2ΠR=4Π^2R^2. The only way this reconcile is if Π^2=Π. I ran the math and they are coterminal. Then, in my estimation, 4Π^2R^2=4ΠR^2. Taking the integral yields (4/3)ΠR^3. Does my logic check out? Or, is this a fortunate mistake?

I can get rid of the squares by adding the eqs.

Just playing around with (3x)^2- (64-x^2)^(1/2) I want to find the derivative but solving the problem conventionally (esp when trying to find maxima and minima) is too much damned work. So I brought in Trig Identitities to help. After that I wound up in a bit of a paradox. Logic follows: ( this is the only part of the equation that i do not understand)
Find dy/dx of (64-X^2)^(1/2) [Sum rule]
Let x= 8sin(z) [trig sub]
then y= [64-64sin^2(z)]^(1/2)
y= 8[1-sin^2z ] ^(1/2)
y= 8 [cos^2z]^(1/2)
y= 8 cosz
thus
dy/dz= -8sinz
-8sinz = -x
subbing yields deriv [ (64-x^2)]^(1/2) = -x
The logic should work and make it easier to find the max and min. But, this is NOT correct so what did I screw up?
