  • can someone please help me come up with ideas for programs to write?

I am in the process of teaching myself how to program on the ti n-spire cas calculator

there is only 1 I/O option which is disp, which displays something

inputs are given as arguments of the function or program

i have made programs that just do formulas

this is helpful, but i like figuring out how to make a more complex programs

i made a program that turns a repeating decimal into a fraction, one that converts a base 10 number to another base, one that converts a base number to base 10, one that converts a number from base b1 to base b2 all between 2 and 10, and i made a few programs that when put together allows you to play a game with similar to the concept of mastermind, where the calculator generates 4 integers 1-6 and then person has 7 guesses to guess the number and the calculator outputs 1,2 or 0 depending on what number was guessed

these are programs ive done, so i would like to have suggestions for other programs i can write

  • why is ln(0) undefined?

i am writing a calculator prorgam to turn a repeating decimal into a fraction

i wanted to find how many digits were in a number so i figured out

    ipart(ln(n)/ln(10))+1

ipart is the function that takes the integer part

what does ln of a number mean

and why can't i take ln of 0

also if anyone has another way of finding the number of digits in a number besides this, so i can avoid the problem of having ln(0)
