I'm a fully grown adult male.

Ever since I was a toddler, I have dreamed in black and white. I don't ever recall having a dream in color -- at all. I am curious as to why this is. Everyone I've discussed this with has never heard of it. I've encountered some people who claim to have the occasional colorless dream, but never at a pure constant rate like myself.

Because this has been a lifetime experience, I tend to believe it has no correspondence with my psychological state of mind, but rather I fear there is something wrong with the anatomy of my brain.

Can anyone experienced in the field of brain anomalies please give me some information in reference to what's going on.

Note -- I'm using a friend's computer to type this.

About a year ago, I purchased a Dell Inspiron 1525.

A few days ago, I was done typing papers with it, and shut it down for the night.

The next day, I attempted to start it up, but it showed a black screen with my cursor.

I tried CTRL+ALT+DEL. The panel wouldn't come up.

I restarted it, and then it went to nothing but my desktop wallpaper (no icons or cursor) and froze.

I restarted it once more, but this time in safe mode. I tried doing a system restore, but it said I have no restore points (which is odd because quite a while back I had to use this feature and created a few in case of future problems).

I then tried Last Known Good Configuration -- no luck, black screen with cursor.

I even tried putting the "Re-install Windows Vista" disc in and go through all of that, but it froze.

In desperation, I restored it to its factory settings.

When I start the laptop up, it takes me through the set-up process as it would if I were turning it on for the very first time.

It always freezes at some point in this process.

Sometimes it lets me go all the way through it, but when I press the "Start" button to finish the process, it goes to the default Inspiron wallpaper theme and stops (cursor, but no icons).

What is the problem, and how do I fix it?

The problem is that I need to find the perimeter of a given square.

Every time I use a search engine, and then click on a web page, firefox highlights the words in the article that match my initial search.

It's very distracting.

I've been hired to do a high quality sketch of an elk and its surroundings.

I've already drawn the elk.

The customer wants in the painting "some typical trees you would find in an elk's surrounding woods, and a few birds".

I am uneducated in the field of nature and would like to know what trees i need to draw that you would find an elk near.

Also I need to know what a few common birds would be in this area.

Names would be great, and pictures would be amazing.
