Hey there. My name is Jeff. I'm really into video games and singing, and I plan to become a singer later in life. I try my best to be a nice guy to everyone and be optimistic, though I do have my moments. I'm a gay Christian, and I am not ashamed of the person God made me. <3

  • Will F. Aid pay for a class I passed but am retaking?

Basically, the classes in question are choir classes. I'm a vocal major and I plan to take choir type classes every term to stay in vocal shape. It's only required of me to take choir classes a certain number of times though, so after that will financial aid still pay for me to take additional choir classes? Technically choir is never the same class twice since each term you learn different songs, and singing is really something that you can always improve on, but I don't know if they take that into consideration.

Will they cover me if I retake the classes?

  • Why are Drive Thrus open later?

It's almost 10pm and I feel like going out to get some fast food, but everything closes around now and I don't have a car. They all close at 10 at the latest but their drive thrus are open until around midnight to 1am.

I've always wondered, why are drive thrus open later? They still have the kitchen running and people cooking food, and they still have all the lights in the front area on. There doesn't appear to be anything different other than who they'll serve food too. It's a little disappointing since I know they would get business if they were open later, since our subway recently decided to be open 24/7 and they get lots of customers at night.

I also wish I could ride my bike through Drive thrus. :s Considering how thin the lanes are, I don't see how visibility would be an issue for either the biker or the driver.

Anyways, why do restaurants keep their drive thrus open later, and how do they benefit by having it open later?

  • Do you find the idea of pansexuality ridiculous/offensive?

...considering that sexual orientation is only determined by gender, other factors such as their personality, or height, or etc, has no place in determining orientation.

I would almost like to call it offensive (which I basically did in the title) that the main argument I see is that some pansexuals will say that bisexuals don't include transsexuals in their interests. This alone is:

    1. Generalizing the bisexual community and saying none of them are interested in transsexuals. People from any side of the spectrum of orientation date and are attracted to transsexuals.

    2. Implying that transsexuals aren't male or female (by saying that bisexuals, who like both genders, don't look for transsexuals, that's implying that they therefore aren't either). I'm not transsexual or transgender, but if I went through a very difficult process and really, a very difficult life, to become the gender I knew I was (in my case for example MtF), frankly I would be rather insulted if someone told me I wasn't considered a woman to them, or even a male.

  • If your child told you...?

For Theists: That he/she is going to follow a different religion than you (not denomination, but an entire religion) or is now an Atheist, what would you do?

For Atheists: That he/she now believes in a Theistic religion and is going to follow it, what would you do?

  • Looking for something specific?

Is there a site out there that tells you various singers' vocal ranges? Sort of like an archive of sorts? I'm really curious to see how famous singers compare, especially singers I personally like.

I know range isn't everything, but it would be fun to know.

  • I need prop ideas for my song?

Have singing class tomorrow, and everyone is supposed to bring a prop that represents the song they're performing. I'm singing "Smile" by Nat King Cole. I was going to have Groucho glasses as my prop, since the song is about telling you to smile and cheer up, and the person who made the song (Charlie Chaplin) was a comedian, so I thought it seemed fitting. However both stores I could go to in my small town didn't have any, and I can't really go anywhere to get it before tomorrow. D:

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could bring as a prop that's fitting to this song? My teacher said it has to be something you can hold in your hand.

  • Need help with my dad (long read)?

Right now he's currently in prison, and, well, I've never really had any relationship with my father until just a couple years ago, and of course him being in prison limits the speed at which we can connect. I've found that I know a lot more about him than he does about me, and we're totally different people. He's a lot more focused on getting things done and making money and progress, while I'm more of a spiritual person who tries to live a meaningful life and to help others. I'm not a very materialistic person at all, so it's obvious there might be some connection issues if my dad is someone who knows how to make lots of money (I won't get into details, but let's just say that even in prison he has a loooot of money).

Anyways, the story is, my birthday is coming up soon. I don't like my birthdays (quite the opposite really), and I don't really see a need to celebrate it. However he's insisting to get me something for my birthday (basically, he wants to buy me anything I ask to help make up for all the years he wasn't there for me). I told him I didn't want anything, and that if he was going to do something with that money, he should donate it to a charity. He then got frustrated with me and flat out REFUSED ("I am not going to give any money to charity, end of story") to do it and said that the only money he will give will have to go straight to me. There is one thing I was thinking about (LASIK surgery, since I have pretty bad eyes), but I don't feel like I really need it (I have glasses), and that it's way too expensive, and that the money for it could be used for a much better purpose (like charity).

This is just one of the things that has shown me that I'm not like my father at all, and as I talk to him I feel like he has this expectation of me; that basically, I should be like him. I should be smart, or interested in making money, or things like getting this or that. In reality though the things I really want are the things money can't buy. It's really hard for me to just tell him I'm not the person he wants me to be, since after finally getting a father after all these years, I would hate to have our relationship become bad because I'm not good enough for him. Usually when I talk to him I feel like I keep disappointing him in some way, and it gets to me.

I don't really know how to let him see who I am without upsetting him because I'm not the son he thought he would get. Does anyone else here know what I'm going through, or maybe even have any advice?

  • Is there any way to freshen up old erasers?

I'm having that old issue of a pencil eraser (simple #2 pencil) being stiff and dry, and when I erase with it, it feels like the rubber scrapes off as opposed to smudging off like fresh erasers do. This isn't so much a problem, it's just that it ends up leaving pink marks on the paper where I erased, which is putting me in a tough spot since I'm trying to draw a picture for someone and it's hard to work on it with those pink marks on the paper, and it will also make the result look less pleasing.

Is there any way to moisten up erasers and make them go from dry and rough to soft and moist like brand new pencils?

  • Is this considered gluttony?

I think I currently have a problem with eating too much. Assuming two slices of pizza is considered enough of a meal to most people, I've had two meals and am currently starving for a third within the past 9 hours. If the food is available, I'll usually eat around 4 or 5 meals a day. I am constantly hungry, and I feel terrible for eating the amount of food I do, since my family isn't too well off financially. The thing is, my metabolism is also super high, so I'm not fat at all. When I force myself to starve and eat less, I end up losing weight to the point of being underweight.

I'm 18, 5ft 10 and 135 pounds, which to a lot of people seems to be too light, and I sort of agree haha.

I'm not really sure if my rate of consumption is considered gluttony or not. I really hope it isn't, since my body is sort of high maintenance with requiring a lot of food it seems. I really hate wasting food (throwing away bad or old food especially), but the rate at which I eat could be seen as wasteful. =\

Is gluttony dependent on the person, or does one size fit all (no pun intended)?

  • What can I do to help my mom out?

As most people in the US know, times right now are tough in the economy. My family has found out this morning that our unenployment has gone from $1,600 a month down to....$500 a month. That's it. Our rent alone is around $1,000 a month, and she has me and my little brother to take care of.

I'm currently 18. I've been trying to find a job in my small town (walking throughout the entirety of it filling out applications), but no one's ever hiring. I honestly feel really bad since I probably eat the most out of my family and I can't help her out with this at all. I've kind of been limiting my eating though just to make sure we don't run out of food.

She's constantly stressed out due to money issues and because of my brother (there are no kids around here so he is home all day and is always talking and wanting to play with my mom).

I really want to help out here, but I don't know what more I can do. Besides trying to get a job, the only other things I can think of is donating blood and going to the food bank to save money.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I could make some money or save our family some money? I would really appreciate any help you guys have.

  • What are some of your guilty pleasures?

Mine are cuddling and Nick Lachey songs lol.

    What are yours?

  • Why aren't there more GLB people out there?

If it really is just a preference and all, then why is the opposite gender so much more commonly appealing to others?

You would think it would be more even than 90/10. It's sort of like saying 90% of people like Blue more than Red. But why is this?

Keep in mind, I'm gay and I'm not saying homo/bisexuality is abnormal or anything. I'm just wondering why it's so uncommon for something that's natural.

  • My singing lacks emotion?

I'm not really that knowledgeable on how to sing correctly, however I sing a lot and it's what I plan on doing when I get older. I can sing on tune just fine and everyone's who's heard me says that I'm good.

But I have some issues which I think seriously set me back. My voice tends to lack emotion in it when I sing, especially on the low notes. I'll be singing in tune, but it won't really sound like singing so much as talking with tune. Does that make sense? haha

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong, or how I can work on it? Am I doomed to having a boring singing voice forever? D:

  • Odd pain in my arm...?

I have this odd feeling in my right arm. It's on the outer side (the side the pinkie is on), just under my wrist area, and it's been coming and going every few minutes. It feels sort of like a muscle cramp I guess. It's not that painful really, but it's noticeable. I haven't been putting any strain on it or lifting anything heavy lately. It doesn't seem to be serious at all, but I'm still curious what could be causing this haha.

Does laying your arm against something (like a desk while you're typing) cause this maybe?

    Anyone know what's causing this?

  • Am I just not meant to be a bottom?

Re-asking cause last time I didn't get any answers. :\

This question may be considered a little graphic, and is regarding prostate stimulation, so I'll try to keep it clean, and uhhh...yeah...if you don't want to read about it, here's your warning.

I decided to finally make that experimental purchase, and got some lubricant (Wet if you're wondering lol), and well, I've made attempts of prostate stimulation before, but I usually stopped because of uncomfort (didn't have any lubricant), or because I just couldn't find my prostate after searching (a lot of searching lol). I was thinking that maybe this stuff would be able to make it easier to concentrate on finding my prostate and/or relieving the pain, but I found that even with one finger I had some pain (even after trying my best to relax my body), and I still ended up not being able to find my prostate. >_>

I'm starting to get discouraged now, because not only am I not that...flexible, I also can't find that certain spot for the life of me. I eventually felt a different texture deeper in, but pressing against it makes me think it was my bladder due to the feeling I got (the need to go), and this is supposed to be past the prostate right? Meaning I went too far and couldn't find anything.

Am I just not meant to be a bottom in sex? My body doesn't seem to work with it, even though I have always imagined I'd probably be the bottom if I was in a sexual relationship.

  • Are you picky with who you find attractive?

I find that there aren't that many people I'm attracted to tbh. Like probably one in 10 or maybe 15 guys I see I'm actually attracted to, and even among those guys, only some of them I would consider dating. I don't know what to consider this other than being picky haha.

But uh anyways, would you say you're picky like me or do you find lots of people attractive?

  • Will Best Buy allow me to return this?

So today I got a CD from them, and it was for a band I just recently discovered called Red. Once I found the Red CD's I noticed one album in their selection that I didn't know about. It was made last year so I figured that it's just a new album that I didn't know about since I only just found out about the band. As I was riding home, I unwrapped it (I'm hoping this isn't the dealbreaker) and found out upon reading the booklet that it is in fact not Red, but a band that had Red for the album name. I had thought it was the other way around, and apparently so did the Best Buy employee who put it in with Red's CD's.

I'll admit it's sort of my fault for not knowing the band well enough before buying it, but it's also partially the employee's fault for putting it in the wrong place. The album cover and back doesn't have anything that would suggest it wasn't Red (the cover is someone but they're shaded so you can't tell who it is), so I really didn't think twice about it.

The only problem is that I opened it and I know they're strict in terms of returning CD's or games due to pirating/burning. If I explained the situation to them and how it was mislabeled in a sense, do you think they'd let me return it or at the very least trade it for an actual Red CD?

  • Would you say it's normal to find innocence arousing?

I tend to have a thing for guys (usually younger) who seem happy or innocent, whether they're innocent in terms of sex or just in general. I don't know why but the thought of someone innocent having sex is a turn on, and I kind of feel weird for having this fantasy tbh. Like I sometimes can't tell if it's the innocence that turns me on, or the way the sex "corrupts" them in a sense, so it's a little confusing. :s

Would you say this is a normal fantasy/turn on for people?

  • Do you think more LGBT people would be Christian if it weren't for those few verses?

It seems to me like a large portion of the LGBT community is Atheist, and though there are a lot of them who are Atheist for others reasons, it's not that uncommon for me to see them be hateful of God because of those few verses regarding homosexuality that people say makes it a sin. I don't know what anyone else's life is like and I'm not going to pretend I do, but I think if it weren't for those few controversial verses there would be a lot more acceptance of Christianity and possibly more people who believed in God.

    What are your thoughts?
