Pain in pelvis knees and ankles?
Im a 28 year old female. Over the last year i've started to get a lot of pain in my pelvis during my period (I have mirena IUD for 13 months), over the year the pain has gotten worse and is in my knees and ankles but always seems to be worse around my period.
Got any ideas?
3 AnswersWomen's Health9 years agoHas anyone switched their toddler from cows milk back to toddler formula?
We're going on a very long flight and my sons doctor told me to try the toddler milk substitute formula and said that it wouldn't hurt him to stay on it because he is an extremely picky eater.
If he can tolerate cows milk just fine now (had diarrhea issues and was on alimentum formula as a baby) will the formula cause his digestive system any upsets.
3 AnswersToddler & Preschooler9 years agoRegular cows milk vs 2% milk for 14 month old?
Is there any reason why my babies poop would go to a runnier consistancy when he's given 2% milk? He has been on regular cows milk for 2 months doing just fine but we ran out twice in those two months and both times he ended up with runny poop and more bowel movements a day.
4 AnswersNewborn & Baby9 years agoWhat age did you stop using the Graco - MyRide 65 Convertible Car Seat?
I have a 1 yr old that is about to outgrow his infant seat and im trying to decide on a new car seat, my almost 4 year old has the graco nautilus which i love and so does he but my baby is a lot shorter than he was as a baby and i wanted to keep him rear facing as long as possible, he is pretty wide for his age just short so realistically how old will he be when he outgrows this car seat?
5 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting10 years agoSharp pains shooting down to cervix and weird feeling in bladder.?
Ok so i have Mirena, i have had it since january 2011. This month i barely got a period and since then have been getting some really unusual symptoms, it makes me feel like im pregnant again.
When i was pregnant with my last one i got these sharp shooting pains going to my cervix and they would happen more when i walk and i've started to get those the last 2 days and then i have that feeling of a baby kicking my bladder and making me wanna go pee.
Doesn't burn when i pee or anything but i get the weird feelings when my bladder starts to fill up and the sharp pains or the feeling that im about to get one when im walking around, im also feeling very bloated.
Is this a common issue for mirena IUD?
1 AnswerPregnancy10 years ago12 month old has bad gas pains after doing great on cows milk for 2 days?
I am SO confused! My baby has been on alimentum for the last 10 months because milk and soy formula gave him horrible diarrhea and vomiting. We have been going back and forth with cows milk the last week, he'd have a lot of loose bowel movements and random vomiting and then he was absolutely fine for two days and actually had firm stools but last night ended up with horrible gas pains from both ends and cried for hours until he fell asleep, this morning he's still got gas and his poop went back to being runny so do i keep up with the milk or try something else?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby10 years agowhat did your baby switch to after similac alimentum?
My son will be 1 next month and im wonder if it was an easy switch to cows milk...He was put on similac alimentum because of diarrhea as a baby, also had the same problem with soy, both formulas gave him bad stomach pain as well.
Right now he is teething and every time i introduce milk (4oz formula 1oz milk) he ends up pooping 4+ times a day (diarrhea) and vomits.
How do i know if it is teething or just the milk not agreeing with him and how am i suppose to introduce him to milk when he's been on a hypoallergenic one.

2 AnswersPain & Pain Management10 years ago3 day old kitten....is it ok?
Ok so it's been about 6 years since i've done this and never this young.....Momma cat walked across our front yard, had a kitten and kept on walking, i waited and she never came back and when the ants started crawling on her i got her and brought her in the house.
The last kitten i bottle fed was at least 3 weeks old so i really don't know what im doing with a 3 day old kitten, i only just got a heating pad for her, im hoping you keep it on low setting i have a blanket over her and she has room to get off the heating pad if too hot but will a kitten that age do this? because her body temp hasn't been at what it should, i assume i don't feed her until she is at a certain temp. last night she was gasping for air i thought she was going to die, i wrapped her in a warm towel 2 hours later my husband tells me she is crawling around and crying so i fed it a little well it is doing the same thing again, is this a reaction to it getting too cold?

1 AnswerCats10 years ago3 Yr old not himself after surgery...normal or no?
Tuesday my 3 yr old got his tonsils and adenoids removed (both were huge) and tubes put in his ears (a lot of fluid behind one, he has also had tubes before) before the surgery a lot of people told me that it wouldn't be a big deal he'd feel fine the next day and it'd take maybe 3 days at the most for him to be ok. The ENT and another parent told me different, after the surgery we spent 5 + hours in the hospital waiting for him to drink something and pee, he did neither :( He just sipped on a little bit of juice, when we got home he did pee but was crying a lot, we managed to get his medicine down him and he did eat a little bit and drink a little, he spent all night crying in his sleep, the next day he was so out of it, refused to eat drink and take medicine when i finally convinced him to take his antibiotic he threw it up and since then hasn't wanted to take anything, he did drink milk today but wouldn't let it out of his site, i was wanting to sneak his medicine into it, he seems to be in pain on and off throughout the day and just isn't himself, he doesn't want to speak most of the time (understandable) but his personality is strange, he acts like this traumatized him.
Is any of this a normal reaction because i don't recall them telling me this would happen.
3 AnswersToddler & Preschooler10 years agoHad mirena for 6 months...strange symptoms this month.?
Had mirena put in back in January, had horrible cramping and heavy periods up until my last period in may, since then i've been feeling sick (could be stomach issues im having again) and have been so bloated looking, i try and suck it in but it is very hard to and very uncomfortable. I had my period around this time last month but nothing yet, a few days when i cramped here and there.
I haven't been for my check up to see if it's still in the right place so im wondering what symptoms do you have if it happens to be in the wrong place or just not working out for you.
The normal for me up until this month was cramp the week before on and off especially if i bend down. Cramp horribly the week of (periods are longer than with birth control) and then cramp on and off the week after. I've also started having a strange feeling like my hips are moving out again. Do you gain a lot of weight when you have mirena? never had that problem with birth control before.
2 AnswersWomen's Health10 years agoSwitching from similac alimentum to similac advanced.?
My son is 7 months old and we are trying to switch him back to similac advanced, we've been doing 1/3 similac advanced to 2/3 alimentum, over the last 3 days he's started spitting up a lot, he hasn't done this since we switched to the alimentum at 6 weeks old. Is this a sign that this formula change won't work out, he's becoming a little fussy but i wanted to give it time and make sure it wasn't anything else causing the fussiness.
Need advice, really hoped we could switch to a cheaper formula.
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoTeething 6 month old screaming in pain?
My 6 month old has been having a hard time with his gums, this started saturday, he is fussy all day long, i give him nighttime orajel and tylenol as well as cold wash cloths to chew on, teething toys and biscuits, he occasionally pulls at one ear but he screams and screams if you're not walking around with him. This isn't like him, he likes to play on his own. I have a 3 yr old but i don't recall teething being this hard, is this just harder for this baby or should i take him to the doctor to make sure nothing else is going on?
No fever or anything, loose stools but no diarrhea.
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoIs baby having issues with baby cereals?
Im trying to figure out if my baby is having problems with cereals. His dr told me that he really needed them in his diet (he's in the 20% for weight/height) but about 2 days into rice cereal he would cry and cry in the evenings, we tried this several times with formula (similac alimentum) and with baby food (which he does fine with on its own).
I asked the dr if we could try a different cereal, daycare and myself have been giving him a small amount of oatmeal just once a day, well yesterday evening he acted like a colicky baby crying on and off for 5+ hours, this evening the same thing, he started about an hour ago, he is also teething so i don't know for sure if it's just coincidence or if i should blame the cereal.
Has anyone else had this issue? and if so how many times did you try cereal before you just gave up on it? He does not have a rash or any signs that he's allergic.
2 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agotreating moderate psoriasis with natural remedies?
My husband is using triamcinolone after trying all the OTC stuff, it doesn't seem to be working like we hoped, all the prescription stuff seems to have a risk of cancer so is there anything out there that is natural that works, i see a lot of natural stuff that is quite expensive but don't know if it is worth trying.
2 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade ago4 Month old loves baby food but is it making him sick?
Ok 4 month old has been eating baby food the last 2 days (sweet potatoes both days) i don't know if it is coincidence but he's been sick a lot the last 2 days, he sleeps upright because of cough etc. but he gets sick and doesn't make a sound, last night he got sick and it didn't even wake him up but he was covered in it. Any time he has had something new introduced to him he doesn't take it well, antibiotics gave him horrible gas and diarrhea, even when i added culturelle to help that seem to give him issues as well, anyway he drinks similac alimentum because of chronic diarrhea/gas so what should i do, just wait longer, try a different baby food and see if the same thing happens with all of them? He eats 5 oz every 2 hours which is why we tried him on baby food, he won't take more than that at one feeding.
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoLumbar puncture nightmare HELP?
Had a lumbar puncture done wednesday to rule out meningitis, that was negative, the day after i could barely walk, i had so much pressure in my spine i thought it was going to explode, the next day every time i would sit up i'd get an excruciatingly painful headache, i went back to the ER all they did was drug me up and send me home with more pain meds, after i did what they told me to (lay down for 6 hours) 2 days later im still having the same problem, instant severe headaches and nausea until i lay down. what do i need to do?
1 AnswerPain & Pain Management1 decade ago8 weeks old been congested and gassy for 7 of them?
ok so my son is still congested, its been 7 weeks and its never gone away just varying degrees of congested, so bad some times that feeding is impossible because he sounds like he's drowning in chest congestion, everything gets worse when he has milk. his gas is still bad, if he misses a dose of mylicon i hear about it. should i be worried still?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhat did you do for your infants gas?
My baby is still seriously gassy even being on alimentum getting mylicon 0.6 with every bottle and then colic calm when even the mylicon can't help his gas. When will this start to ease up and what should i do or change.
He has already been on the similac advance, sensitive and soy.
