Does AOL software work well on Macs?
My sister wants me to install the AOL software on her new Mac. She is set on having it unfortunately. It pretty much single handedly screwed up her old PC and I don't want that to happen to her new Mac. Has anyone had success or trouble running AOL software on new macs?
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoWhy does my laundry fade at my girlfriend's house?
I do laundry in two spots, my place, and my girlfriend's. When I wash my clothes at her place using the same detergent as I do at home, my clothes always come out faded. Does this have anything to do with the water acidity, or mineral content i.e. hard or soft? Any suggestions for how to avoid this?
3 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoHave Yankee fans gotten less obnoxious?
About 8 years ago Yankee fans were the worst. You had load-mouths going around everywhere wearing the hat and arrogantly talking up the Yankees, but unable to name a few starting players. I think it was a product of having won a bunch of recent series titles, it attracted bandwagon fans.
I've always thought it's real easy to be a fan when your team wins every year. Now that the Yankees haven't won in a while and though they have a shot probably won't win again this year, I have to say the Yankee fans I come into contact with are nowhere near as obnoxious as they used to be.
As fans, I have to say I think they have gotten a lot better and more fun and interesting to talk to about baseball. Anyone agree? Have Yankee fans gotten better since it's not as trendy and "cool" to be a Yankee fan anymore?
10 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoShould I go to my 15 year high school reunion?
After seeing "Gross Point Blank" the other day I've been thinking about my upcoming reunion. I liked high school, had lots of friends, plenty of good times, but since then I've stayed in touch with who I wanted to and let the others go on their way. I skipped the 5 and 10 year, but for some reason am thinking I might like to go to the 15 year. Is it weird to go back and see these people who used to know you 15 years ago? Will we have anything worth talking about or will it all be, "remember when we played that senior prank on principal...."??

What does it do for you? Does it give you:
A sense of satisfaction?
A feeling of superiority?
A 3 minute diversion from work?
All of the above?

4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoCan someone "quit" a condo association and no longer have to pay their dues?
We have a wacko in our association who has always been trouble and complains about every decision made but never participates in any discussions and when he says he'll bring quotes for jobs, never does. Now he's announced he's "quitting" the condo association. I'd love to cut his unit off of water, insurance, etc, but can't since these are all billed to our entire unit. The condo documents don't say anything about quitting, I'm quite sure you can't renounce membership and decide you don't have to pay, but anyone know more about it?
5 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoWhat do the pitching coach and manager say when they go to the mound in a MLB game?
You see them chat for a minute or two - is it like tv when they are talking about nonesense just to provide a break, or are they talking pitching?
15 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoAm I the only one who thinks watching an episode of Lost, CSI,Survivor, etc, is a waste of time?
Almost every day now I hear someone at work, on the train, on the street, or a friend of mine asks me, about the latest episode of "Lost", or "Battlestar Gallactica", or "Dancing with the Stars", or "Survivor", or "CSI", etc. Am I the only one who doesn't spend all my time watching tv? Though I've seen all the above shows at least once, I just can't bring myself to watch any of them on a regular basis. I don't see anything compelling enough or done well enough for me to want to watch week after week. Do people buy into the reality of it all?
I guess I read more than watch tv, but for some reason I feel like when I read a book about something I learn more than watching tv about something. Generally speaking books provide more detail and depth on topics, so why would I want to watch the same thems on tv when I could just read a book that will explore a topic better?
I don't know, HELP!
