  • How do i Find good homes for my 8 kittens?

Ok so i live in Sacramento Ca and my sisters cat had 8 kittens while i was cat sitting. I have kept the Cat and her kittens while i place them in homes but how do i go about finding good homes for them and will it be hard for me to see them go? these kittens have been like my children. the momma is here but i have weaned them and they now eat moistened dry kitten food and they drink water on there own. they let me know when they are hungry ( i don't keep their food out cause the momma cat likes to eat it) and i have nick named them all. i know that was a mistake because that shows and attachment to them but i love them all. and i know that i have to let them all go but i want to show them enough love and how to love once they move on to new homes. i want to make sure that they make their new owners happy. oh and they are litter box trained also. so they are ready also how do i know when they are ready to go? i hear 6 weeks, then 8 weeks, then 10 weeks. please help i am so confused. :)!

  • How do you cope with the loss of a beloved Cat?

We had to put our Cat Mishka Down on 9/11. Mishka had high liver levels. Normal liver levels are supposed to be between 0.0 and 0.9 and his where at 6.0. he had lost over 8 lbs in 1 week and he was week. he could not stand with out wobbling and he kept triping over him self. he could no longer make is to the litter box on time and his urine was so dark it was brown i mistook it for poo. My husband took it the hardest as Mishka was his cat and they bonded so well. i keep glancing over at where Mishka loved to lay and then realise that he is gone.
