I am a college student who's macbook pro just died. I do not want to shell out another $1000 for a computer that has way more stuff than what I will use and I'm really intrigued by the concept of the chromebook. But I would not want one if I can not take notes on the powerpoint presentations that my teachers give me. I have also heard that Chromebooks can not open spreadsheets? Any advice.

And I live in the honors college building and every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night the building is crawling with blackout drunk people. My high school English teachers make us use note cards to write research papers and on each note card we are only allowed to have one or two phrases per note card and they have to be from the same source. I just think that it is confusing to have all of the information all over the place and prefer to make an outline. Do college professors make you do this or are my teacher just trying to force a habit that works for some people but not me?

The HD dvr is too expensive and you need to worry about getting a cable card or whatever, and I still have a SDtv and don't plan on changing until it dies. And are there any other brands of comparable price that have dual tuners.

It can't be edited by anybody like Wikipedia. The only ones I can find only have about a paragraph and I have to write a three page report.

I went to the add/remove programs thing in my computer. And whenever i try uninstall something it just does nothing. I was able to uninstall nightlife, but not the other ones. I don't play them anymore and need to make room on my harddrive.
