I did collections all over the eastern part of NC for a woman (not a business). I ended up with a 1099-MISC with $2,200 in the #7 Non Employee Compensation Box. TurboTax told me "Congratulations, you're a business". I tried filling out the Schedule C questions but I don't understand any of them. Do I fill all of the questions out in reference to myself as a business? I don't understand this.

It's very unlike him to be this way, we've been dating for a year plus, been living together a year plus, and I've gone through a transition period at my job and life, ended up unemployed and depressed for about a month. He's saying he's upset about how unhappy I've made him this last month, and on top of it, I did something stupid that I've never done, and gone through his phone. I know. Big mistake. He doesn't want to break up, says he still loves me, and doesn't want a break either because he wouldn't want to lose me. He's still pissed. He's said things along the lines that he doesn't want to sleep in the same bed, and has said some pretty mean comments here and there, designed to hurt my feelings. I've been acting cheery and trying not to push him, and I wish I could leave for a couple of days to give him his space (not possible, I know NO ONE where I live). What should I do? What can I do? How long do you think this is going to go on, and how long will I be punished for this?

Seriously. Every week I go to the bank. I deposit the same check (my paycheck) from the same local company from a local bank. I don't have any problems with the bank, I don't overdraft or anything. But, the last THREE weeks, they have placed a four day hold on my checks. I live pay check to pay check, and it's extremely difficult to do crap like, fill up my car, or get groceries, or replace the tires on my car, if THEY CONTINUOUSLY HOLD MY CHECK FOR FOUR FREAKING DAYS. I don't understand it. What the heck is the point of banking if I can't ever get my checks when I need them and have money to use and spend????

I have a Gateway 3200S Desktop. I had a 256 MB Graphics Card which specs on the label that listed 400 DDR 3200. I bought a 1 GB Graphics Card for $160 whic specs were for the same (3200, DDR, 400, Desktop). I kept the 256 MB, manually installed the 1 GB myself.

Turned on my computer, and the monitor was on, and continued to read the normal "MOnitor Self-Check" message. It did not act as if the CPU was plugged in. I tried another monitor, same case (so it's not the cord or the monitor itself). I tried several times with the first MB ram still in, just one, both, different spots, etc. No change in the monitor. It's been suggested to me since I didn't have 1 GB in 1 spot, and 1 GB in the other, that I unbalanced my computer. No other suggestion has made sense to me.

Do you have any suggestions about how to fix this problem and salvage my cpu? Is it unbalanced now, and if so how to fix?

I know you can tell from the colors of the leaves what may be wrong with your plant. I just got this plant and the color of some of the leaves have turned a darker green than the normal color of hte plant. What may be wrong with it? Too much water, sunlight?

I'm looking specifically in the Wilmington Area or the Raleigh Area.

I'm new to the area. Any large companies you can name or offer websites to would be greatly appreciated.

I am a stylish young (22 year old) woman who works in the business world. I am outfitted with a bachelors degree and work in a position that earns just under 30,000$ a year. Paying off my student loans has made me broke and I have little money to work with.

My closet is in desperate need of a professional makeover! I would really love some suggestions on some absolutely essential pieces to have in my closet and different ideas about what I can pair these clothes with. Also, if you have cheap stores online or offline you recommend I'd appreciate it! I need a lot of help to look professional for my job.

First of all, I KNOW I can just come out and say it. But I was wondering if anyone had any more subtle, or clever ideas of coming around to it.

Secondly, here's the situation. We are both 22 years old, and he lives an hour and half away from me. We've been dating for about a month. I am going to see him for the entire labor day weekend and it's day 3 of the period. I will probably be completely finished with it by Sunday (which stinks).

So, how do I say "I'm on my monthly and we can't do that" without being so... blunt about it?

I can't remember the proper word for them, but they are like, little sayings to live by that maybe a grandmother or mother would say.

Examples:

I am not super strong or athletic, but I think I may have the mental determination to do it.... I was wondering if any of you have personal experience or first hand accounts you could offer me? I am nervous about this, but think this may be a good option for me to get some kind of perspective on my life. I am thinking of joining the Army Reserves.
